Was thinking about a month or two up there this season. On second thoughts, Iran has pretty good skiing?

On topic, it's getting rather serious, no?

If they start lobbing nukes at each other, we're likely all done for.

Pakistan claiming to have now shot down two Indian military aircraft.

But yeah, how about that duet by Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper?

Quite melodic tbh.
It was like a bad romance.

A nice seat on the halfway line or a cheap one up in the stratosphere behind the goalposts?

Second tier of stadium.... but nicely placed next to HAL airforce base and full Indian Airforce base in Bangalore.

And there is an air show just finished...

An air force base would never be targeted...

Surly not while they're having an airshow

Interesting how much is played out on Twitter - the claims and counter claims and the pretty naked hatred.

It seems the score is 2-1 to Pakistan although Pakistan claims it should be 2-0

Maybe. Seems like a fair amount of bullshit flying around at the moment.

India claims 300 militants killed in their bombing raid, Pakistan says they shat their pants when they scrambled some jets and bombed a forest with no one in it.

I'm getting quite worried by this. These are two big countries that could get out of control.

Left India on Tuesday Security very tight. Friends left today were rerouted away from Pakistani airspace and had to stop to refuel in Budapest. Due to land in approx two hours.

Just a reminder the Pakistani military has nuclear weapons that it can use unilaterally without any political authorization from Islamabad.

Anyway a good twitter feed to follow for all the rumours:

In fact our journey from Agra to Delhi was by train and we passed a train seemingly about two miles long heading North with nothing but tanks on it!!

Yes likewise was in Gujarat last week and security was tighter than when I was there after the Bombay attacks in 2011. All the usual suspects were baying for blood, but were starting to be joined by Times of India and other sensibles as well. Gut instinct is this may well kick off to some extent. Modi is a strongman and he won't resist the opportunity for war in an election year IMHO.

Match thread wise, the schedulers have really got to consider changing this to a summer sport. Conditions really won't make for running warfare and that isn't what the viewers are asking for. India by 15.

Complaining about the ref gets you march 10 metres you know - equivalent here is a week

Indo/Pakistan would be my tip for the next usage of nukes. Both mad as hatters and both have nukes - yeah, like that will work

Air Canada flights from Toronto were turned around today. One flight was over Sweden when it was sent back to Toronto! Other flights cancelled. Things might really kick off.

2 Indian jets shot down so the pressure to retaliate will be immense

I have had a friend due to fly today from Belgium have her flight here cancelled while they work to re-route

I have been following this for the last 10 days and it seems that the world is not interested but this is about as close to Nuclear war as there has ever been in the last 60 years. Ind have Modi, a guy with no children and a hatred for Muslims, and he was losing the election. As soon as the attack happened at Pulwama and Ind soldiers died, the Ind media and Modi began to beat the drums of war. Then yesterday there was an attack on PK( no damage was done as the Ind planes flew back without hitting anything) but this led to a massive backlash in PK and the PK'S did the same but as they were chased out of Ind, the superior PK fighter planes shot down 2 Ind fighter planes, capturing a pilot. If Ind attack again PK will then react and the situation could quickly escalate.

Why are India using Mig-21's rather than some of their more modern fighters?

Yes and worth mentioning Modi’s whole ‘get tough’ policy in Kashmir, a direct and deliberate break with previous governments. Not to mention of course his state level exploits. His default is violence.
