That wasn't even Scotland putting a brave face on things and salvaging some pride. They beat England up for most of that second half. Amazing stuff.

Yup. I was having flashbacks to Murrayfield last year. If this game were in Edinburgh Scotland would have minced us again - and we've largely fixed our breakdown woes!

English players just don't seem capable of having complete focus on their game.

Well played (for 40mins) England we were dead and buried. Mental game, would have been a hell of way to get the twickenham curse off our back

Even with the caveat of England obviously thinking that game was over at half time, that was one hell of a second half performance by Scotland. Great game to watch. There'll be an England post mortem but even regardless of that, the vast majority of teams would have given up the ghost.

And that wasn't even Scotland with their first team  :uhoh:

England were so good in the first half, bit like they were against Italy. Don't know what Jones said at half time but he can say it every time England play Wales if he wants!

This. It feels like a loss, purely because we don’t get the Twickenham bogey off our backs.

To do so from 31-0 down would have been the stuff of legends.

No not at all drunk yet...
Have a St Paddies day do in an hour.
Have my commemorative 2018 Irish GS Jersey to wear to it.
I will be a tad tired an emotional later.

Folding that badly at home... it's hardly a leap to suggest that the Scots would have taken it were we away, though minced might be overstating.

I think it will turn out to be the stuff of legends. In more than fifty years of playing/ watching rugby, I don’t think I have ever seen the like of that.
