She is also autistic, which might explain her single mindedness, passion and directness.

Any of these kids are free to unplug themselves from the electrical grid, and to only travel by manpower. Practice as you preach.
SA is good for the climate. We don't have any electricity a lot of the time
But I don't think the UK is a bad offender. She should go an protest outside Xi Jinping's house, that would be real bravery.

It also means she’s very susceptible to stories. She’s being used.
What I’d also take a small bet on would be the same people saying shamina begum was a brainwashed child are suggesting we should take the poor Swedish child seriously.

Since we shouldn't listen to impressionable young women due to the likelihood of them having been led astray by dastardly forces, here's an old white man, who is also a very rich businessman, so he should be much more to the tastes of some in terms of his credentials.

Puppet child of a deep conspiracy
The internet has turned into a great way for the over-50s to confirm all their prejudices.
Bimbo must be heading into the top 3 all-time bored meltdowns.

An old white man sending the equivalent of a fiver for you and me. Cheap publicity. He’s a sociopath though if he really believes we only have 12 years left and sends such a minuscule sum .....
Do we know if the private jet went ?

Doesn't explain why anyone should give a rats ass what they think.
Kids can look at things unencumbered by mundane realities that limit us as adults. If they can reasonably articulate their views and make a sensible argument then their views are as valid as anybody else's regardless of age.

I’ve said nothing of the sort, but having a kid on the spectrum I can easily comment regarding the issue with susceptibility, if you want I can send my eldest round, he’s absolutely terrified at the moment of Zombies, give him long enough and he’s convincing about the Zombie apocalypse.
Seriously look at the argument being made :
Sceptic : “ I’m still unsure of these suddenly urgent timeframes on climate change”
You : “ don’t take my word for it, and ignore the science regarding the urgency, listen to this 16:year old with Asperger”
Sceptic “oh, that’s me convinced”.
“Unencumbered by realities”

Maybe I can help accelerate that, here’s an innocuous and supportive SNP tweet regarding Greta.Armchair_Superstar wrote:Puppet child of a deep conspiracy![]()

We have a lot to learn from these generations, they are much better in many senses than we had been.

Has Bimbobot not realised that spectrum means not all behaviours will correlate?

Unencumbered by life experience, too. Teenagers are passionate about things, it's what they do. Doesn't mean that grown adults should take them seriously. And the expressions on those politicians faces just make me want to give them a slap.
Is she saying anything different from the usual we'll all be dead in N years unless we act now, preferably by destroying capitalism? Are we supposed to be bowled over because she's wise beyond her years?
Her mum looks nice, though.

Gammon: "Kids of today are just pampered layabouts not prepared to do anything for themselves"
Also Gammon: "See that little girl over there that has started a world wide movement to try save the planet from an impending disaster that she (and almost all the scientists and sane people) thinks is coming - she doesn't know anything and should just shut up!"

I am so impressed with her.
I used to be a bit of an activist in my youth. Nuclear power, Molesworth and the cruise missiles and the "Stop the Boks" demo.
She is a bit of fresh air and many are taking notice.

Agreed, I will stop posting in this one, there’s clearly no convincing some that energy policy for the western world should be heavily influenced by what a particularly child thinks.
