Obviously in the forwards we struggle with our second rows, so the first two are pretty obvious - Alun Wyn may not be good for many more years but he would drive standards in training. Rob Evans because I think he's a better player when fit than any of the other looseheads about, just been unlucky with injury at the wrong time I think.

The backs are all box office and would bums on seats.
That's why I picked him as well.

All front 5 forwards as you would imagine. We've got a good backline at the Blues but Foxy would grace any team. Taking back Anscombe and McNicholl for his versatility/professionalism

Out of interest, how many FHs have the Blues 'lost' in the past couple of years - Anscombe, Patchell, Sheedy, ???

There's boys from Cardiff playing 10 all over the west country, the new wonder kid at Bristol for one
Don't think many more from the academy though

Tough, especially with Jarrod showing how he suffers without anscombe

I still don't understand under the mechanics of the WRU agreements how the Blues lost Anscombe to the Os. Was it just the Os were willing to pay him more as they had more cap space?

No, anscombe like patchell wanted the 10 shirt. He was better for Cardiff playing 15, only playing 10 50% of the time.
Because of project reset, which of course has now been ditched, so only really served to cripple cardiff it now seems, cardiff couldn't offer anscombe a better deal than the Os as anscombe had a set value, regardless of what a club thought her was worth.

As for sheedy, he given a scholarship to millfield, no brainer.
The wru right now are showing very well why socialism is barbaric

Dragons (v Edinburgh Rugby): Jordan Williams, Owen Jenkins, Adam Warren, Jack Dixon, Ashton Hewitt, Sam Davies, Rhodri Williams (c); Brok Harris, Richard Hibbard, Leon Brown, Joe Davies, Matthew Screech, Huw Taylor, Taine Basham, Harrison Keddie

Replacements: Ellis Shipp, Josh Reynolds, Lloyd Fairbrother, Max Williams, James Benjamin, Luke Baldwin, Arwel Robson, Tyler Morgan
I'd imagine that Edinburgh's physical pack will probably be enough to see us off, but hopefully we can step up substantially on the woeful second half against Leinster.

There have been glimpses here and there. It's meant to be dry in Edinburgh tomorrow night so hopefully we get to show some running rugby, rather than rely on our wet weather game. Looks a tall order though.

I was willing to give Jackman a season of nonsense to try and sort out what he wants and I'm willing to do the same here. Not sure how well he'll do mind. But like you say there have been some glimpses here and there.

Ryan seems pretty grounded. He doesn't seem to get too up with wins, nor too down with losses. Without wanting to be too rose tinted about some poor performances around the wins in each game there have been good elements - even against Leinster - so if he can keep making little improvements then there's a chance of a few more wins here and there. Could really do with a few of the injured back though - sounds like Jarvis might be available soon which would just ward off the really testing problems with our depth at loosehead. (I know he's more of a tighthead but with Brown doing so well and Fairbrother always solid these days we're in decent shape there comparatively so he's a loosehead now in my book).

True, but teams like Edinburgh are already rolling out their internationals...our guys are either coming back from injury like Jarvis and Hill, or they were worked hard in the world cup. Don't get me wrong - it'll help, but relative to other non-Welsh teams it's going to take some time.

Yes the advantage of having Scottish players is that you know they won't spend that long in the world cup. Sorry Scots, only trolling I'll do! But I don't mind waiting, I'd rather the internationals get a decent rest and are fresh maybe for some of the harder European games. I'd like to see the Dragons get a decent Euro result as well as do better in the league.

I hope we get some fun, fast, dry weather games - a few years back the Euro games were all high try scoring, fling it about games, then we'd come back to the league and play like we thought grinding forward play was our strength. Hopefully we can spring some surprises.

That would suggest that you expect a 50% win ratio (essentially all home games, or the odd loss at home with the odd win away). Is that really feasible?

Scarlets £7M
Ospreys £6M
Blues £6M
Dragons £5M

Is that right?

Is argue with a wage bill besting most English teams, scarlets have spent badly coughing up 40.
