Pitch is way too small. The 7s being held there during the commonwealth games involved removal of the pitchside advertising and a ton of work building up the area behind the goals to same level as the pitch. And IRB dispensation due to the dimensions even after that

I think the 4 point spread is about right looking at the two squads named. The benches are fairly even.

That's some disparity in the experiences of the front rows

Still struggling to see the sense in scheduling this on the same day as the Scottish Cup Final. Glasgow is pretty mobbed on any given Saturday, never mind throwing 100000 sports fans into the mix. Good luck getting into a pub or finding transport to the game.

I'm a very good driver...

Match preview and head to heads:

https://wp.me/p68WtH-8dM

Been back and forth on a number of these head to heads, particularly 14, 10 and all the back rows. Called it as I saw it but I'm sure there will be plenty of disagreement!

Huge test for Glasgow of how far they've come, taking on a team that they have never beaten in a knockout match.

Hastings is in better form than Sexbomb in 2019

That's where I was heading but I reigned myself in. The occasion has to be a bit of a factor though. Sexton's been through this time and time again whereas it's all new for Hastings. If the Glasgow 10 reacts positively though he's the guy that could really unlock the Leinster defence.

When you see that Leinster backline it always surprises me they play such a relatively dull game plan. Same could be said of Munster and Ireland I guess

Leinster play suffocating, (mostly) winning rugby. They can shift it but only when they want to. Most of the game is spent controlling the ball. The only Irish province who play an exciting brand of rugby is Connacht. I take your point in general and it’s why you’ll see a lot of people on the Irish rugby thread really interested in U20’s international rugby and schools rugby - where teams don’t have each other so well worked out, and they tend to play the game more as it is supposed to be played

True, it’s difficult to criticise when they win, that’s all that matters at the end of the day. But also a shame that the talent that is obviously there doesn’t get more of a showing
