What a lazy shite effort from Smith there to try and charge that kick down. He was walking!

Gardner's performance at the tackle area has been very one sided.Enzedder wrote:Holding on Sir
Didn’t make the most of the advantage calls. Pick and goes are easily defended. Set 2 out from the ruck and have optionsTed. wrote:Great defence, Chiefs.
A moment of white line fever from one of the fatties possibly cost the Reds at the end, mind the they still needed to crack the line elsewhere.
Certainly did after the final maul collapse, gave the Reds a few minutes to dig the ball out, should've been scrum Chiefs and game over.Enzedder wrote:Bad luck Angus - you tried
That would depend on whether it became a consistent feature of games officiated by Australian refs involving Australian teams. If it did over a few game it might raise eyebrows. If it happened in every single season of Super Rugby, well, I’m not sure what you’d call thatCrazy Ed wrote:Good game do we need a royal commission regarding the penalty count?
Should have been a yellow card. Close to a penalty try.Toro wrote:Certainly did after the final maul collapse, gave the Reds a few minutes to dig the ball out, should've been scrum Chiefs and game over.Enzedder wrote:Bad luck Angus - you tried
Where is he going? A young Petaia back, Mcgahan in full fitness, won't be too bad I suppose.FairWeather_Aussie wrote:Going to be a really long year, next year without Kerevi. Without him the reds back line is completely toothless.
The strange thing is that the Red's kicking coach is Dave Aldred, Jonny Wilkinson's kicking coach and with as much claim as anyone to be the best in the world. All I can imagine is that his reputation is based on his knowledge of place kicking, but even that is in question after BHs's 1-from-6 performance last week. I think AFL doesn't aid someone with rugby kicking anywhere near as much as soccer does, as AFL kicking is very approximate compared to what's required in rugby - kick the ball into a general area for someone to run onto, or kick the ball high above a pack for someone to leap for. That's my best guess, anyhow.Macrosan wrote:This.Brumbieman wrote:How the fudge can a country with AFL as it's most popular winter sport produce such f**king appalling kickers in rugby? It's genuinely embarrassing how useless our kickers are.
Very bewildering why they do not have a kicking coach.

p.s. I had no problem with the 2 disallowed tries from the reds.
Moli is the form prop in the country. The selectors have to be interestedswc wrote:How good was Moli? Has to be in ab contention
I've lost track of the injury status of our front row stocks. It'll be nice to have some more quality options like Moli stepping up.naki wrote:Moli is the form prop in the country. The selectors have to be interestedswc wrote:How good was Moli? Has to be in ab contention
Moody is fine, will be back soon. Franks is still a couple of weeks away.Turbogoat wrote:I've lost track of the injury status of our front row stocks. The other contenders (Big Karl, Ofa, Laulala) are all fit.
Moli is outplaying all of them at the moment

Wow, great photo. TMO got everything spot on, if you watch that try in real time seemed like an incredibly tough call.Jensrsa wrote:Enzedder wrote:Now can I bitch and moan about the Chiefs disallowed try?

That was my thought too - still shots are like a black glove.Toro wrote:Wow, great photo. TMO got everything spot on, if you watch that try in real time seemed like an incredibly tough call.Jensrsa wrote:Enzedder wrote:Now can I bitch and moan about the Chiefs disallowed try?

Edit: looks like it was after the initial 'try'.
Is it McNicol, if you can''t say, wink once for yes and twice for no. (Please be no, he was scheduled to return for the Magpies in the NPC).Enzedder wrote:In the squad but ongoing concussion symptomsobelixtim wrote:What is the story with Hames?naki wrote:Moody is fine, will be back soon. I have picked up another Chiefs player as a client who won't make it back (hence the referral to me) dammit. One of the times when you don't want a client
