But how can they if they’re a Euro denominated clearing house ?
I clarified already that euro denomination clearing was just one of the currencies handled in the clearing houses.

From the EU in June 2020.

Send us the fine.
So, there was a pre-determined method in the WA to sort out technical aspects.
But Scummings, BJ, & their lapdog threw out the WA, and introduced a unilateral mechanism.
No wonder the UK reputation is going down the drain.
Not a technical aspect tbf, just a clarification of what a country's customs territory actually means so it's not open to interpretation. EU cannot walk away from negotiations and simply annex NI. GFA would be smeshed to pieces by that.

What are you talking about. I wrote that / outlined that to you already. You need to get a grip.
Is there not some big revelation at the end of this? I mean what about the EY report that predicted losses of 83k jobs over a number of years if LCH lost it euro clearing business.

But I already clarified my earlier statement. Clearing of euro-denominated transactions is one of the currencies handled by LCH.

So no big revelation about the EY report and the predicted 83k job losses.

Biden has just come out with a tweet that could have been written by Iveagh House.

And that's after both Pelosi and Neal told him the same face to face.

You can be damned sure Biden has, and will also have staffers who can quote it clause by clause. As will, of course, Pelosi and Neal.

Thats going to be sorted. You're going to sign up to the standards the EU want and food will be allowed through.

Then you have to come up with another illegal reason for breaking the international treaty

We already have the standards, we're still following EU laws. There is something else that Barnier is demanding that he won't get. He has threatened the gfa with his demand.

The EU wants a dynamic alignment in standards saying we're not going down that route is fine (ignoring the economic damage) providing we accept saying we'll follow the same standards as now, or non regressive, is the same as saying we'll be different if one looks ahead further than six seconds. If we want to set our own standards which isn't an unreasonable thing we should just say so and from a long time back have been allowing for a much deeper divide to emerge
