He had a shocker today. Wales made shit of the rucks and he took laissez faire a bit too far.

He is saving it for the KO stages

He doesn't require players to come through "the gate"

As a result, breakdowns are a joke.

He is the worst ref in the game, and it's just ridiculous that he remains on the Test panel.
His advantage times are absurd as well.

Wales scored a try from the ensuing lineout.

Piss poor reffing.
Looking the replay, I am pretty sure that the call for the fidjian player "on the ground" comes from AR or TMO. Some TMO are more and more involved in the game...

The other half of the French dis-connection.

The entire match was disgusting , properly reffed[ ie the breakdown laws applied] Fiji would have thumped Wales by 2-3 tries.

But that's bad for business at the high end of town and the sale of ludicrous over-priced tickets in the knockout stages.

We couldn't have you guys give the Welsh a wake up call. They were easing into a nice superiority complex, becoming complacent as the QF were looming. And your guys came and started to shake them hard! Come on!

Yup, very good reffing performance. Aus will feel rightly hard done by on a couple of non calls for holding on which other refs would have pinged England for. But that’s his style and not a criticism.

Pretty good, but seems to let players fringe a hell of a lot.
Definitely does no favours to teams who try to get quick ball.

Absolutely loved him basically and politely telling the tmo to go fudge himself re the forward pass.
Only saw the 2nd half but it looked to be a good performance imo.

Have to disagree.
Can't find in the rules any explanation to the PT and YC decisions.

So, so performance, controlled the ruck as well as anyone, but he gets in the way of the halfback pass far too often.

Missed on obvious holding back on Barrett that ultimately led to the first Irish try, and then cocked up the Todd YC and was so adamant he was right didn't even watch the replay.

Owens is a great ref and controlled a good game.

The brain fart with the penalty try was a blight, but no one other than John Eales is perfect.

Saffers whinging about their record vs NZ under Garces is pathetic. In case they've forgotten, his career has coincided with a period when the Boks have barely won a match vs NZ under any ref - not just him.

They've won a total of 3 from 21 under all refs, yet it's a massive outrage that they've got a donut from the 4 or so tests he's officiated?

Get a grip.

It's not so much the record under NZ.

I stand to be corrected but under Garces we've now played 14 tests and won 4.
