I don't think either team wanted this QF match-up, but thanks to the plucky Japanese, and Scotland being shit, this is the match-up we have.

Think Ireland will turn up and take it. Pressure off after being knocked out by ARG and WAL at this stage in the last two where they were expected to win

Massive advantage to Ireland given we won't have played in weeks.

It's the best one for us really. Or was, before the Japs proved themselves to be far superior in almost every facet. We already know what Ireland will bring. Should be a hard game.

I'd rather we were getting a run against the Japs though if I'm totally honest, we haven't played anyone that plays like we want to

It'll be like Christmas day, unwrapping the movez, only to find the dregs of a bottle of Paddy stuffed into a sock.

I'm back to work on monday. Good luck Kiwis, I'm sure you'll have a new found respect for the Irish once this is all done and dusted.

I’m happy this is the match we are getting. I don’t think Ireland are in any sort of form to beat the All Blacks at the moment they peaked a year to early. I also think this is a better prepared AB side than the worn out mob that lost to them in Dublin.

Should be a good match, if we can bring any sort of form to it. I would expect NZ to win, but I really hope we can make it competitive and mount a surprise. Last chance saloon for a lot of our players.

Ireland to win by 2 points. The Irish will get the AB into an arm wrestle and the AB don't have the power to browbeat them into submission

Don't think Ireland have much of a chance. Pressure to make their first SF will be too much. Especially for Best who will leave the international scene with a whimper

Way too early for the score predictions, we need at least 5 days of foreplay

The Precious versus The Swarm

Should be epic

The game itself I am expecting to be good too, the Irish haven't performed to their potential yet but have plenty experiene to bring to this - ABs not nearly as much aura as recent years. Should be a classic

And now back to your scheduled programming

ah yes, I remember that - this was the game where the ref left his cards at home

shoulder charges, head injuries, concussions, a bloke getting stretchered off - it's not tiddlywunks bro
