I'm gonna have to disagree there, France coped about as well as you can with a red card, they played clever rugby soaking up the clock and pinning Wales in their own half. They were in a position to take the win and fluffed it in one critical moment

Absolutely

Its pathetic that the commentators don't have the balls to call it either
So much this
They do anything to help a home team, knowing that lots watching might not actually know the game well - but every fan on here knows it went fwd
A home team.

Well done Wales. France are f*cking brainless though. Being that dumb shouldn't be rewarded.

Wales do have variation. 'Crap', 'really crap' and 'complete garbage', so shut up!
They could've scored easily had they shifted the ball. France would've crumbled but they just never try anything outside of their scope
Yeah, quite why they're kicking when they're in a strong attacking position I don't think god himself would know.

Can we please have a law change.

Time off until the ball emerges from the scrum and is played.

Professional players and coaches with amateur laws. FFS!

Yachvilli on French TV saying that Peyper asked for a TMO decision on forward pass.

Looks forward but Peyper ignores it.

TMO suggests anothet angle but Peyper says no need.

Gutted as France clearly deserved the victory.

England v japan final would be great but we'll probably have a AB v SA one instead. :?
It looked flat. It's ripped by 9, falls in Tips hands and Tips is behind the scrum half the whole time.

Indeed, the last 5 mins of the match was pretty much Wales exploiting the laws of the game and forcing resets. Incredible. Especially after Peyper had just minutes earlier lovingly promised AWJ that he wouldn't let the French players waste players.

I think because TMOs have been taking lots of time on everything through the pool games, refs need them to get to the point quickly and are cutting them off when they don't. Happened last night as well.
I agree, the ref saw the ball land int he hands of the player behind who ripped it. He felt that was enough.

Both Wales and Ireland need to re-discover attacking rugby.
That was very laboured.

France snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.
At least we got a glimpse of what they are capable of when their heads are in the right space.

Vakatawa was the best player on the pitch, brilliant in attack.

Wainwright was probably the best forward.

Yes. As far as I am aware, if it the ball is intentionally ripped, then it's treated as if the ripper played the ball, i.e. if he rips it forward and doesn't reclaim it, it's a knock on.

I said for ages, Wales big weakness is their lack of attacking play and putting points on. The weird thing is, the Welsh team is highly skilled and when they attack they look good.

Have to agree. This really is the weak side of the draw. The Springboks must be laughing to themselves. Japan in a QF and a weak Wales in the semi. That's their 'punishment' for coming 2nd in their pool.
South Africa's WC to lose TBH.
Rem it is Japan's WC to lose. Boks will be lucky in their qf if they get through. Like Welsh level of luck.

Wales very lucky but it's good that French thuggery isn't rewarded.

Even so, I'm astonished that the Welsh try was allowed to stand - how could the officials not see that the ball clearly went forwards - it was as obvious as the Bin Skeen shambles from yesterday.

TBH, Wales didn't look very good - but they're in the semis and I guess that's all that matters at this point.

Well, that's it.
One more game we should have won and we didn't.
Vahaamaina is such a thick player...

Have to say that Wales really has a a poor gameplay, they create nothing.
Gatland is the negation of what I like in rugby.
For the sake of it, Wales has to and will get out in the semis, as I don't see them even close to Japan.

So gutted..
