Re: Congratulations England
Yeah. Controlled the game, capitalised on mistakes and played smart, taking the points when on offer
Re: Congratulations England
Too good... much deserved.

Re: Congratulations England

Congrats England.
Don't understand the Wallabies performance. Directionless.

Re: Congratulations England
This. A shame, Oz had a few really great moments. I almost wanted that try at the end to stand because it would have been a solo beauty. Good game from England perspective, Oz frustrating I'm sure. Both sides get credit for effort at least and Oz at least played all the way o the end and never gave up.Farva wrote:Yeah. Re: Congratulations England
Absorbed initial pressure, low error rate, kicked their goals and took their chances. Looking good.
Hard luck for Australia, the players were willing but selections and game plan were weird.

Re: Congratulations England
This is England's biggest win over Australia now isn't it?
Re: Congratulations England
Yep, well done England!
Re: Congratulations England
Agreed. Given that there have been question marks over our mental strength, I thought we showed up well.MungoMan wrote:Never looked particularly flustered, did they? A well-coached team.Thomas wrote:Just too good. Exceptional defence.

Fantastic job, Spivs.
Can't see anyone beating England in this comp. They're huge, fast, aggressive, skilful and well coached. Tough combo.

Well done. Expected to get beaten.
England played as advertised and deserved the prize. Good luck with Ireland/UnZud

Certainly set down a marker for other teams to follow.
Could be four NH teams in the semis.comets wrote:When Wales and ireland win theirs, 3 NH teams in the semis! ..whatever happens there will be another NH team in the semis..
Re: Congratulations England
Even as an England fan it's sad to see good blokes like Beale and Hooper lose. With a new coach Aus should finally get going again now as the skilled team they really are.
Re: Congratulations England
Decent game, always enjoy England Australia. You’ll be significantly better with a good coach and I doubt we’ll be 7-0 in the next cycle.

Aussie have got some exciting times ahead and with Cheika gone it's bound to be brighter
Re: Congratulations England
Au revoir Cheika, hopefully now the Wallabies can move onwards & upwards going forward. Congrats to Eng on the win.

Re: Congratulations England
Very very impressive.
I'm almost hoping the ABs don't get past Ireland. That forward defensive screen was rock solid.

Not with that attitude Groucho. Unless you mean the England setting down a marker comment then we'll have to disagree.6.Jones wrote:No.bessantj wrote:Certainly set down a marker for other teams to follow.

Re: Congratulations England
No complaints obviously. Comprehensively outplayed and deserved. The right team over the past half decade worth of form rightly won.
As a bonus for us, adios Cheika. Pity Pocock played his prime years under a very average coach. I wish he'd play another one or two. But our well. Adios Pocock too.
