Sunday morning NZ - Live NZ Radio Station - Caller Reactions
Sunday morning NZ - Live NZ Radio Station - Caller Reactions
This is the beauty of internet radio. Picked up this NZ Sports Radio station called “Radio Sport” on my Internet radio.
As a non New Zealander one can get a live insight into how Kiwi’s are dealing with the aftermath of the England lose.

It’s Sunday morning in New Zealand and callers ringing in their droves giving their reactions.
It’s Saturday night for me in Ireland.

You do realise this is commercial radio, i.e. bugger all of the population are interested ergo not indicative of the general population, including a percentage that doesn't follow rugby ...

Really interesting as an outsider to get an insight into the New Zealand psyche. A country where rugby is life.

Wow. A van with a Union Jack pained on it was smashed by Kiwi fans in Auckland. Just reported.

I’m hooked on this now. News is on. After a lot of ads, including Windy’s Hamburgers.
News coverage of the rugby was incredibly fair and honest.

Jim Kayes just made an interesting point
Our next game verse the Saffers will be our 100th test match against them.
It could be celebrated by a play off to find the worst RWC losers

You listening to a NZ radio station hoping for some really biased callers so you can post and shame it here....
too much time buddy.

Re: Sunday morning NZ - Live NZ Radio Station - Caller React
Was listening to a podie and decided to check if I could find a NZ sport radio station and hit upon this station. Interesting experience so far. After all NZ is rugby obsessive so interesting to get the pulse of the nation.Clog50Percent wrote:You listening to a NZ radio station hoping for some really biased callers so you can post and shame it here....too much time buddy.

Re: Sunday morning NZ - Live NZ Radio Station - Caller React
Heard many calls when I was getting ready this morning. Most very complimentary of England. Anyone a bit grumpy was just angry with coaching staff.
Radio Sport gets under 5% of radio listenership.

I think the callers, host and journo are very sensible and measured. If this is the more extreme NZ opinion, it must be a very considered place.
Re: Sunday morning NZ - Live NZ Radio Station - Caller React
The only anxiety I'm seeing is whether Foster is the right man etc.
Can I say the Kiwis come across fantastic. What a brilliant and more retrospect/reflective bunch of people they are.

More than 1:2 New Zealanders have no interest in rugby at all .
Perhaps the majority resent the amount of coverage and media obsession .
F*ck em basically .
Re: Sunday morning NZ - Live NZ Radio Station - Caller React
Yes I agree. The callers recognise that the ABs were beaten by the better team and no real ref howlers or controversies to go after. Just pure disappointment. Some angry with selections and players like Bender not getting game time.Wendigo7 wrote:The only anxiety I'm seeing is whether Foster is the right man etc.
