The game play was not far off being a disgrace for a RWC semi. Just about saved by a couple of tries, the one from Wales showed what might have been with a bit more expansive play. Saffa were awful. Kick the ball into Wales half and hope for the best and this probably won it.

Garces was not much more than an onlooker.

This statement makes no sense. So you’re telling me that just because a ref doesn’t favor one team over the other it means he can’t be kak?

That is an interesting statement indeed. According to him a ref doesn't need to know the laws, as long as he is not biased?

Vok how difficult is it to understand that rugby have grey areas in the laws like the rucks. The only thing you crh hope for is consistency (treating the teams the same).

To state a test ref dont know his rules, is stupid. Saffer started that ref bashing thread, he is an idiot like Trump

Of course rugby is full of grey areas and I dislike ref bashing as much as you do.
But one ref can definitely be kakker than another one.

Bokkom vok now you are getting technical as kak. Like players, refs can have their off day. They are human afterall. Most posters are more interested in the ref as actual rugby and use it as an excuse when losing, specially Aussies and Saffers. Garces was fine yesterday.

Going back to Saffers post and my explaination
Garces is a terrible ref and was terrible again but to suggest his calls favored the saffas is laughable

Without the World cup all he has to look forward to until February is the week in week out smashing of Welsh clubs and he has taken the cowards away out.

Thought Garces was good, no issues, and that both teams didn't play cynically (both very wary of giving away any needless points or territory).

On a tangent, but indicative of the strange stuff that goes on at WR: apparently the head of the current WR Referees Board is a Frenchman.

Notice the preponderance of French referees at the World Cup.

In answer to the OP, USD $2250 per final stage match plus out of pocket expenses. ($2000 for pool stages).

We played poorly. We had a dreary game plan and executed it poorly.

Neither side played well but SA took their chances and had the superior setpiece and deserved to win.

No complaints from me.

We barely fired a shot and certainly made more errors than the man in the middle.
This. Exact way I saw the game. We played shit and didn't deserve the win. I felt Wales were lethargic and just going through the motions. They never looked like they wanted it.
