For one night only. Fat Old Git in Wellington and in need of food and a quiet beverage (or 3).

I have to work the following day so can't stay out or misbehave too much.

Excellent. Any venue suggestions? Last one I attended was at the Fork and Brewer iirc.

Wilderbeast, we'll work out a special secret sign or similar closer to the time so we can recognize each other. Even if it's just a post on the night saying fat bastard at the corner table under the picture of the dogs playing poker.

You have to be careful with that though, otherwise you might suddenly realize you're sitting at a mumsnet table.

I think at one stage we just used to ask people if they were coog.

Swap out our man in the deep South with me and I think that is the vast of my last Wellington cabal.

Holiday. Catching up with jdogscoop and other chums for one of our annual punting competitions. I'm taking in a day at the Aus v Pakistan test on the Thursday of that week too for a nice little bonus.

I reckon you should stay another day just to confirm she's all ok after doing the marathon, but perhaps give her some space in the evening to re bond with the children...
