That was never getting overturned once the soft signal went up as "out".

Shit.

I agree - it looked as if it went just through his fingers and he took it off the ground - but he was dead as soon as the soft signal was out.

Wasted review - never listen to the bowler !!

Kohli knew it was too high but Bumrah was so confident.

I saw India at $4.35, but that was well before our decent opening wicket stand...

They must have been paying over $5 before today's play?!

Now at $1.52.

Fark. We're getting rolled.

Northern Districts not performing today.

Watling and Southee both gone for ducks 153/7

Hard to see how Southee isn't batting at 11.
When he came onto the scene he actually looked like he could become a decent batsman.

Fantastic Indian bowling, even yesterday when they didn't get a wicket they were relentlessly accurate.

The Raiders are in desperate need of a #1 wide receiver.

Jadeja will do.

Also, Jamieson is the best player in the world.

Nothing wrong with it at all - ball is coming on, even bounce, no unreasonable seam movement for a 1st morning. Wickets have only fallen to swing in the 1st 20 overs and runs coming at over 4 an over.

Great catch from Latham from a loose drive by Shaw.
Kiwi bowling was shit and that opening at chanced his arm a d got away with a lot. Whats the average score here?
Not sure he got away with much really - the ball very rarely beat the bat - one or two edges but less than you'd expect on the 1st morning of a test. The ball did very little off the pitch.
Day 2 and India well into their second innings.

Terrible track

You are a hard man to please Anon. NZ “roads” get criticism and when there are a couple of days with wickets, it’s a terrible track. Let’s see how the game plays out, so far periods of good bowling have been rewarded but there’s a long way to go.

I like that even if a session or two is lost to light or rain we can still get a result.

It's a good pitch. Lots of pace and bounce. Has been pretty even over the two days.

There's been some excellent bowling and some average batting.

Test is nicely poised. What more do you want?

Come on. I saw the pictures of the track and you guys talking about scores of 250 and I thought one farking extreme to the other. As it turned out neither side even made 250
