Jesus what an unholy shower.

I WANT TO KNOW WHY ARCHBISHOP CAREY IS NOT IN JAIL. Clear case of obstructing justice!!

Suicides , cover ups, paedophilic priests my blood was boiling by the end.

I still find it incredible that in this day and age so many still posses the god delusion.

Yeah, ‘cause Mohammed legit went to the moon upon a winged horse.

Is it on again tonight?
Part 2 at 9.00pm tonight.

Not a good advert for the Church of England. Really shocking stuff. The CPS were nobbled as well which is worrying.

It was difficult viewing for sure. Awful stuff.

While various denominations of the Christian church have been (rightly) getting a kicking in recent years over multiple abuse scandals I wonder when the lid on abuse in other religions is finally going to be opened?

The Church is the perfect set up for these paedo's to thrive.

You have choral scholars and organ scholars, often vulnerable young boys away from home for the first time and staying in church property. The perfect environment for paedo's to abuse their positions of god like trust and abuse young people.

The you have the Archbishop backing the paedo bishop and priests and feeling sorry for THEIR ordeal and for being accused by victims and questioned by the police. Then, as in the case involving the CofE, they get one of their own clergy, a former detective, to discredit the accusers from the inside with the full knowledge of Archbishop Carey. Carey is a disgrace and should be forced out of the House of lords.

I expect that many, many more will come forward after these two programmes.

Any situation where adults have unsupervised access to children seems to be a magnet for abusers. Where it's institutional, most institutes will or have attempted to cover it up. I think this instinct to cover up is more a function of the nastier part of human nature than something intrinsic to a particular institution. Attempting to score points over this is distasteful in the extreme, imo. They are all scum and should be treated accordingly.

He shouldn’t be forced out of the HoL he should be put in prison. He knowing obstructed an ongoing investigation.

Also when they arrested Ball he became ‘unwell’ so they De-arrested him and took him home.WTF? It was another two years until he was arrested again. He spent 16 months in prison!! 16 months??? That is scandalous.
Time to ban religion.

Well said.

The de-arrest was all very questionable.

I am not going inside a church again.
