Speaking to the BBC, CDU MP Kai Whittaker said the results were disappointing. "It's a bad day for us," he said. "We cannot deny that there's a risk that we're losing touch with the people."

Whatever the rights and wrongs of the last few months, when Boris Johnson and the current UK government are made to look comparatively sensible and reasonable, you have to question WTF is happening elsewhere.

I actually think the EU's position is even more hypocritical, the EU seems to be ignoring the fact that the UK exports vaccine components to the EU.

i don't think Ursula or the bloke who tried to rip up the GFA has any idea about anything. They're just shouting their mouths off hoping that will be enough for change to miraculaously happen - known a few characters like that in my time.

For the AZ vaccine piece, possibly.

Other vaccines (Pfizer, Moderna, etc) are also being supplied under the COVAX program.

Lets not be rash. Last i recalled Australia had placed us below the EU in priority for trade talks.

Also more needed in Europe as it will wash up on our shores if the spread continues so it is probably not in our best interest to allow it to spread and, therefore, mutate more.

EDIT: also i really want a summer holiday which means Europe not being covid ridden as anything longer than a 3 hour flight is not enjoyable with a toddler.

So the Scottish Government have not only paid NHS staff a £500 bonus for their work during Covid, now they are giving staff a 4% pay rise.
It's framed as rewarding our Covid heroes.
