Geert Vanden Bossche
If he’s Gouda nough for Clogs he’s Gouda nough for me
I think he has penned an open letter to the WHO predicting doom and gloom about the current vaccines. Now he appears to be a very well credentialed scientist that seems to be a virus/vaccine expert. However before I buy into any of his kool aid I want to know what the PR experts have to say about him and his warnings first. Then I will decide how to react.
Did you even bother to Google him?

You've relapsed and back on the Covid trolling again I see.
I have googled him and watched some of his video. If what he is saying is true, then it is alarming. However I am inclined to think he is hyping shit up. I thought it would be an interesting thing to post on here and likely to generate discussion.

Not sure how you see it as trolling?
A fairly quick Google could answer this for you.

Does anyone know why the new COVID case rate is so high in France? Only Turkey and Uruguay have higher case rates currently.

And now.........

EU prepares legal action against AstraZeneca over vaccine delivery shortages.
The European Union is preparing legal action against AstraZeneca over shortfalls in deliveries of its coronavirus vaccine, according to four people familiar with the matter.

The EU and the pharmaceutical giant have been at odds on several different occasions this year. Anglo-Swedish firm AstraZeneca said it could not deliver as many vaccines as the bloc was counting on, both during the first quarter and the second quarter. This has delayed the rollout of Covid-19 vaccines across the 27 EU nations.

The European Commission, the executive arm of the EU, told the 27 European ambassadors at a meeting on Wednesday that it was considering legal action against AstraZeneca for these delivery issues, four EU officials, who did not want to be named due to the sensitivity of the issue, told CNBC Thursday. Politico first reported the commission’s plan late Wednesday.

“The commission wants to move fast. It is a matter of days,” one of the officials told CNBC via telephone, adding that there had been “large support” from the ambassadors for the legal action.

The same official explained that there were only “a few legal questions” being examined before the process goes ahead.

A second official said the commission is taking this step because it wants to ensure that upcoming deliveries do meet expectations.

When contacted by CNBC Thursday, a spokesperson for the European Commission said: “What matters is that we ensure the delivery of a sufficient number of doses in line with the company’s earlier commitments.”

“Together with the Member States, we are looking at all options to make this happen,” the same spokesperson said, not confirming or denying that legal action was being considered
While AZ doses reaching sell by dates in EUs Cold storage. :frown:

Edit,update.
The European Commission has launched a legal action against AstraZeneca over complaints that it failed to deliver doses of the coronavirus vaccine it had promised to the bloc, Ireland’s health minister said today.

Stephen Donnelly told the Irish Parliament that the case was being pursued over the company’s “complete failure” to meet its contractual agreements. “With regards to AstraZeneca, a legal case has been initiated by the Commission,” he told the Irish parliament.

And now it seems even 'EU' companies have given up on trying to work with the EU and are now discussing directly with the member countries:
French biotech company Valneva has launched a pivotal Phase 3 trial for its experimental COVID-19 vaccine — the last step before seeking regulatory approval.

It comes as Valneva said it would give priority to securing deals with individual countries after it failed to make “meaningful progress” on supplying its vaccine candidate to the European Union, dealing another blow to the bloc’s immunization program.

Scene in court room;

Judge: So you allege that AZ didn’t fulfil their contract?

EU: Yes, your honour.

Judge: And what material effect did this have on the vaccinerollout?

EU: We had to delay its total ban across all age groups by several weeks.
