Mainly because religion gives context to history and culture.
And if they can believe in Santa then a God is ok too.
Knowledge of the bible might even prove useful one day.
You never know when Leviticus 13:45-46 will become relevant in dealing with religious anti-vax f**king morons.

If you don't mind, I will observe how my caseload, and my colleagues cope with what appear to be unexplained health deteriorations post-jab.

I have no objection to anyone taking a jab voluntarily, with full informed consent.

I object to it being made mandatory, and for people to lose their livelihoods should they wish to wait.
You're planning on basing your view of the vaccine on personal anecdotes?
Personal observation, and the experiences of my colleagues.

Perhaps you should tell them that their experiences are just anecdotal.
It is so sad. All the people with second effets from the COVID vaccine are living in Mick' entourage.

Maybe it is actually not the vaccine that is the problem :((

What is so funny is they are eliminating their followers first. Leaving the hard core of people that are aware of the problem. Interesting Fact: Most of the firearms in the USA are in the hands of the 80 million people that have not fallen for the Covid-19 'Great Fear' tactics. The known amount is 400 million firearms and Trillions of rounds of ammunition. They can't count what they don't know about.

https://www.itv.com/news/2021-09-20/pfi ... five-to-11
The Pfizer Covid vaccine is safe and effective for children aged five to 11, the pharmaceutical company has announced.

Pfizer and its German partner BioNTech said following their findings, they plan to seek authorisation of their jab for five to 11-year-olds in the UK, the US and Europe.

After the second dose, children aged five to 11 developed Covid-fighting antibody levels just as strong as those seen in teenagers and young adults, said Dr Gruber, a paediatrician.

“I think we really hit the sweet spot,” he added.

Coronaviruses aren't flu viruses.
The Chinese developed one, but, starting relatively ineffective, it rapidly became even less so due to mutations in the virus.

I am aware the viruses are different.

I am asking why the pharma industry in the west (the ones that produce our various Influenza vaccines every year) were unable to develop vaccines based on existing technology.

They had new technology to combat coronaviruses. In development because of earlier SARS outbreaks.

The flu vaccine has a lower efficacy than the current covid vaccines. Flu doesn't spread as easily so 50-60% efficacy is acceptable.

The main thing is that the vaccine is proving to be efficient at preventing serious forms of the disease. Thanks to the vaccination campaigns, none of the countries where the vaccine had been widely injected have suffered from the same ICU overloading catastrophes that led to the lockdowns. This is a massive progress and I don't understand people do not see that benefit.
