Remember all the doom warnings about schools. And how dangerous it was for teachers etc.
I remember how much less we knew about this thingy a while ago, how we all thought it would be over at the end of spring last year and how many were lambasting their respective governments over the lack of available masks, the same people that are now claiming they're useless.

Hindsight is such a wonderful thing.

Children were at school last year. The spread from schools was well documented as being minimal. Teaching unions were twats and the weak Govt caved. Apart from that yeah it was hindsight,

It was always a case of teachers did not know how dangerous it might be for them and they never signed up to put their lives in danger.

Yes they did, there was 9 months of statistics regarding the susceptibility of teachers (which was far lower than the general population) they just didn’t want to go back.

Last year, the CMHT at which I work (about 40 staff) had one member of staff off sick with suspected Cov.

At the same time a local primary school had to close because half its staff went off sick.

This was when schools were demanding to be closed.

They forced closure.

Doubtful. I suspect people were already dying of Covid in Sept 2019, but no-one was looking for it at the autopsy

Given how easily it spreads though it would have started to ring bells before it eventually did.

Maybe it didn't spread as easily? Given that it's gotten more and more contagious over the last 18 months.

Yes because people were not focused enough. It will keep mutating until people get focused. It will also appear in pockets of the country sporadically that has higher levels of vaccine scepticism

We know that spread is asymmetrical compared to flu and that it can take quite a few introductions into a population before it will successfully spread, also that viral load is likely to play a role in severity and in most people it isn't severe. The covid symptom tracker app has a large more comprehensive list of potential symptoms.

Under 40s to be given an alternative to AZ, just announced.

No under 40s, no over 60s too in many places. No AZ at all in other places. Sweden do dump it all. The US to give it to the 3rd world because it's not safe for US citizens.

Will there be a world of scandals coming out on this Vaccine when the dust settled..

Australia and Canada reporting clots. We don't get much news from the non English speaking world or most Brits ignore it anyway.

This on top of all the delivery shambles.

I hope it doesn't become clear that if the rush for a vaccine roll out win, Boris and Co took some unnecessary risks with the masses.

I also suspect a number of the post-vaccine rollout death numbers are more AZ related then we are being told.

Does a two-week old clot now class as a previous condition.

The chance of being hit by it appears similar to the chance of getting a clot after a covid jab, so would expect him to be all over it.
