Excellent work! And fantastic title.

Big Gav certainly has some questions to answer as to his philandering in Paris.

I see some big computer has done the data crunching and has Scotland to win by 5.

Scotland by 5.

Doing an auld boys trip down for the weekend - this will be our fourth annual trip and we have won the previous 3 (Ireland, England, Italy).

So basically a guaranteed win for the good guys.

7 point margin = pumped now?

Cool, England pumped Scotland this year.

And if the team pumped by France pumped Scotland, the outcome between Scotland and France would likely be...?

Weather forecast looking terrible, though not Calcutta cup terrible- don't think that favours either team but does give Townsend an excuse to play stodge right through the centres.

Going to say it'll be less than 5 either way, really not sure who to put money on for this one. . .

The forecast isn't that bad. Light showers and a moderate breeze, it's almost taps aff weather.

likely too late to stop the travel unless the UK does stop flights from France.

Next week end may be dodgy for the Irish.

I did visit Scotland a number of years back.
I moved back to France
people traveling are already pretty much on their way so despite talking travel ban nothing has been done.

If the covir19 keeps spreading I am not sure what the Irish will do .

No worries

Not coming though would happily share a pint or two another time.

My club is playing 1 hour earlier this Sunday to be able to watch the 6Nations :)

Yep, FFR confirmed that after few cases of wine, the government gave the ok for this weekend.

Probably

-:Bouthier(15) - Penaud(14) Vakatawa, Vincent, Fickou (11)- Ntamack(10) Dupont (9) Ollivon (cap), Alldritt, Cros - Willemse, Le Roux - Haouas, Marchand, Poirot(1)

-Mauvaka ou Chat, Gros, Bamba, Taofifenua, Cretin, Serin, Jalibert, Ramos

Hi Slick,

Yes, I do. My options for watching this game consist of large bender with the only other Scottish rugby fan I know (through Thistle pod, incidentally) culminating in a circa 3am kick off in some shit pub where the commentary is never on. Or, ignore phone in the morning and watch the replay game with tea.

Makes Scotland's s*itness even more unappealing: I could at least have the consolation of a great all-dayer at Teuchters with mates if I were in Edinburgh.

Option 1. It'll ease the pain and you might drink enough to forget the result.

I've attended matches in the past and had to google the result the next day, if I do that then perhaps I can do option 1 followed by option 2 and double the disappointment!

We've only seen glimpses of what your backs can do, but there's genuine class there. Dupont one of my favourite players to watch atm.

We've improved our defence, but now play the least exciting rugby in the world. All going to plan, then. Toony. Also, for the first time in about 20 years, we don't have a top class goal kicker.

I feel that our front row is better, back row could win the breakdown, but other than that am struggling to see where the win comes from.

Scotland have to win the scrum contest. Both Poirot and Haouas are average to weak scrummagers. If Scotland have the upper hand at the scrum, and a decent lineout, then they have a tactical advantage playing 50/50 cross kicks behind the French rush defense. It will be interesting.

As always (with the last 3 French games), the French will be looking to take the lead early and build a decent buffer to leave possession with Scotland. An intriguing battle.

On the French side, Teddy Thomas has been sent home, punished for his poor defensive efforts in the last 3 games, while Penaud is back to replace him. I hope Penaud will be in fine form.

Edit: now, if your kicker can't covert scrum penalties into points... That would be a shame. Wales tried to score tries from a scrum several times when France were down to 14 men, and didn't manage.
