They've totally f**ked France at the breakdown who have shown no ability to adapt to how the ref is operating that area.
How are you supposed to adapt to the opposition not rolling away or cleverly returning back to defend right through the channel...?

Guess things tend to balance on the curse of the tournament: France had lot of things for them against England and especially Wales and now, everything go against them today.

Nah.

There are several talented individuals in this side (and a few more out of favour) but other than some defence, fitness and discipline (until today), a new dawn has been much over hyped.

We have seen no structured attacking play at all now in 4 games. What few bits have been from individual brilliance or the vagaries of the bounce of the ball.

This is consistent with Galthie was a coach (in tandem with Edwards) but something has to change offensively.

Yeah I rewound it and you’re right - it barely went between the flanker and the second row

And no consideration of looking after the fallen player. This ref is not good enough yet for this level.

Yeah and the BBC commentators didn’t seem to cop it either. He was clearly taken out in the air.

The French are just throwing the man in the air.

They actually bought in a law if I recall, France lifters should/could have been penalised

The whole stadium groaned. He should have blown it up for safety if nothing else. He has a duty of care.

I agree, but that one was a significant hip-to-hip bounce that knocked the jumper out of his lifter's hands. No malice or anything, but it was the action of the Scottish jumped that caused a guy to faceplant from extremely high in the air. Serious potential for a nasty injury.

As said, ref should have stopped play if only for the sake of the dropped player, no idea that he was OK until after the bodies had got off him.

You can tell who’s jumped in the lineout and who hasn’t from the replies on this

This.

There really aren't many superstars in this team. They caught England cold, almost threw it away against Italy and got out of jail against a poor Wales. Suddenly they are world-beaters.

They really aren't that good. Unbelievably, it's taken Scotland to prove this!

You could try and play some rugby by either
a) Staying in your feet and offloading
b) Spread the ball

Also, do the same to Scottish ruck ball.

1D game plan has gradually been found out bit by bit since the Eng game and is now in full reverse.
