Makes sense...

Re: Entire final round of 6N postponed to October 31st
Right but Ireland and Italy have 2 games left??
Re: Entire final round of 6N postponed to October 31st
It's non vintage. Cancel the tournament and move on.
Re: Entire final round of 6N postponed to October 31st
We'll play the 'A' sides in the morning and the Seniors in the afternoonWendigo7 wrote:Right but Ireland and Italy have 2 games left??

Re: Entire final round of 6N postponed to October 31st
Probably try to get that game played the week before, which won't be great for either of us but at this stage it's only sport.Wendigo7 wrote:Right but Ireland and Italy have 2 games left??

Yeah presumably they need to squeeze that in before then.

you strike me as someone well used to 'non vintage' ...... why all the fuss ?Derwyn wrote:It's non vintage. Cancel the tournament and move on.

They should set up a committee to make the call after 2 rounds to determine whether the tournament is vintage or not and cancel the rest of the games if it's one of the non-vintage years.
Re: Entire final round of 6N postponed to October 31st
Big question is have the unions brought enough toilet paper
Re: Entire final round of 6N postponed to October 31st
Yeah, they should call it off at this point. It'll be bizarre and unsatisfactory doing it in Autumn anyhow
Re: Entire final round of 6N postponed to October 31st
Will they defer the WC rankings?

Are you Welsh and desperate to holdover last year's result or something?johnuknow wrote:Yeah, they should call it off at this point. It'll be bizarre and unsatisfactory doing it in Autumn anyhow
It's no different than what happened back in the days of foot and mouth.
Whether it's unsatisfactory or not isn't really the point; we have to be flexible in the face of things beyond the sport's control.
Besides, you think the Italian and Irish unions would willingly forego the revenue of a home test? Not on your life and nor should they when there's an option.

Re: Entire final round of 6N postponed to October 31st
Bizarre, Ireland are the only side with their fate in their own hands now. England need France to do them a favour in the final round. The game before against Italy should be a nice warm up for us, one the French won't have.
Re: Entire final round of 6N postponed to October 31st
We are just thinking about the wellbeing of the fans. Not a good look if all the irish can think about is the monies.
Re: Entire final round of 6N postponed to October 31st
Not Welsh. Cancelling is also flexible. Joe Public wont cry over it and its better for player welfare.sockwithaticket wrote:Are you Welsh and desperate to holdover last year's result or something?johnuknow wrote:Yeah, they should call it off at this point. Re: Entire final round of 6N postponed to October 31st
Would be pretty gutted if the Scotland game was called off as I'm all set to go down. On the one hand seems sensible to be cautious and to have all games the same weekend if possible, on the other you have the UK 'Culture' (whatever the hell that title means) secretary saying this morning that current medical advice is that there is no benefit to cancelling games at this moment.CM11 wrote:Rumour still, I think.dargotronV.1 wrote:So is this rumour or FACT?

All your players are as shit or good as the next. Full team was out on Saturday bar winger Josh Adams. You Welsh and your excuses are next level.Kid A wrote:Yay. That'll help our injury list.

I saw a topic being discussed on your national thread appearing to show Wales depth at outhalf with about 10 players listed in order. In reality you can scrap the list from 3 to 10. Are you counting players on a the scrap heap on your injury list? Pointless exercise.

I don't really give a stuff about Wales results mate. I care more about the 4 Welsh pro teams and their ability to put decent teams out.YOYO wrote:All your players are as shit or good as the next. It stems from a Midi Olympique article, I believe, suggesting that's what's being debated today.Joost wrote:Looks like this came from an account with about 20 followers, so hoping it’s fake news!

The way forward for Wales is to try and make the regions competitive once again. Team Wales should be on the back burner for a while. With the RFU paying big wages now, the regions and contracted players will be under pressure to get results.Kid A wrote:I don't really give a stuff about Wales results mate. Good job I've booked a hotel for Paris where the cancellation fee is only €3 less than the actual room cost.

Having sorted out the FlyBe issue, they are going to cancel it just to spite me.dargotronV.1 wrote:Would be pretty gutted if the Scotland game was called off as I'm all set to go down. Scotland v Wales still on for now:
@bencoles_ Just heard from WRU that as far as they're aware, Wales-Scotland is still on.
@BethFisherSport I have just spoke to the Six Nations and as far as they are concerned the match is still ON.
France v Ireland is off:
@bencoles_
French sports minister Roxana Mărăcineanu confirms that France-Ireland is off.

So WRU think it's on, the 6 Nations thinks it's on, and the Govt think of no need to cancel sporting events.Steamin Beamin wrote:Scotland v Wales still on for now:
