Porterhouse steak with asparagus, corn on the cob and asparagus.

Made banana, coconut and chocolate bread as well :D

Three sets of ribs; Bbq, mexican and korean

1st 2 slow and smoky, korean have been poached to quick cook.

Pandemic or not, can't get a decent kebab within 15 miles. Having a go at lamb shish tonight.

A lot of the good turkish restaurants round my way are doing takeaway delivery.


May have over done the volume of food. 3 racks of ribs plus other stuff between 3. What was I thinking.

One of the few things I truly miss, being steamrollered (mangaled) at M.Ocakbasi.

That, and Tava's epic mixed grill further up the road.

Mangala is shut but think tava is still open. As is testi just up the road.

Well full on Sunday lunch cooked, daughter and grandkids came up, social distancing rules observed as my parents are both in their nineties so we stayed inside, rest of tribe outside, my daughter is diabetic and asthmatic, and grandaughter is asthmatic so we're all very careful, weird having a lunch separated by glass (conservatory )..

Parents chuffed to see great grandkids for the first time in a month..

Made 2 Eton Mess as desert, never thought I'd say this, but had to beat my mum off with a wooden spoon, as she went full on chow down on it, in the meantime, my 2 grandkids fecked off with the other platefull and climbed on the shed roof to polish it off..

Other daughter rang so we're going to face time cooking together, should be fun..

And wine to finish the night off...

Chicken & Cashew Curry tonight

Yea he's good. I use white pinot grigio . I also put the milk in last .

Just been to the local turkish shop/butchers. Got everything required for a turkish bbq tomorrow. Chops, ribs and kofte. Got the bits and pieces together to try and replicate the chargrilled onion salad 5hey do including pomegranate molasses and turnip juice. And sumac, loads of sumac and bread from adkeniz.

Then Sunday I'll be attempting a paella on the firepit, because well.........what else have I got to do.

I leave mine simmering for a few hours and feed the milk in during that time.

Fortunately it all is delicious cold/reheated.

Will be making this tomorrow night, sounds lovely.

Just bought an air fryer and loving playing with that at the moment. Chicken wings and thighs come out perfect . Also cooks very quicly and is healthy as not oil need and a lot of the fat comes out it. Really good baked spuds too and doing fishi and chips tonight.
