Boris Johnson has tested positive for coronavirus.

The prime minster tweeted: "Over the last 24 hours I have developed mild symptoms and tested positive for coronavirus.

"I am now self-isolating, but I will continue to lead the government's response via video-conference as we fight this virus.

"Together we will beat this. #StayHomeSaveLives."

Being the massive cynic that I am, both this and the Prince Charles announcement made me wonder whether it's not a pr move to emphasise that the ruling class are in this with the people.

A mild, recoverable case that no one can really question...

Will obviously feel bad if either end up on a ventilator or such.

I'm not sure I'm cynic enough to believe our beloved royals ( x( ) would buy into those political games.

But Bojo I could fully believe it might be a con job to garner support. I just can't believe a single thing that comes out of his mouth, even the sky is blue.

He's the flipping Prime Minister. Of course he's been tested. Last thing we need is him infecting every other senior member of government.
