Not sure what the motivation is with the SEC/XRP thing.

I guess it will shake out a lot of retail though.

You were saying the same thing 3 years ago. This is institutional investment, FOMO from the public will kick in again within the next 6-18 months.

You sound like the Irish crying over Australian real estate.

Just because you’re ½ right doesn’t mean what I said isn’t happening look up PayPal. It’s no secret the market is also manipulated.

Was the wild west this much fun, Eth is absolutely flying now. Its strange how often you end up checking the App to see what price it is. Unless you are actively trading it's a bit pointless and with commission costs actively trading is not worth it for those of us with smaller money invested

Xrp and Tether are clearly complete and utter scams. Pyramid schemes. We need these dismantled to make crypto more credible. Lots of jail time and asset seizures too for those involved would be nice

Creator of ETH has done exactly the same thing as those at ripple, only an idiot would assume it ends with them.
Tether pumps BTC and alts.

Tether is a joke, some days its volume is three times its market cap. No way is that possible. Every coin changes hands 3 times a day, ludicrous. Btc and ETH are different propositions imo. Who knows though eh. If the roller coaster keeps going till I have the deposit for another house that will do me, about 6 months

Zero regulation, no market controls, totally opaque operational and ownership structure, used for money laundering and criminal operations globally.... Yeah, bitcoin is bulletproof and won't ever implode.

Buying bitcoin is like playing roulette, not the classy casino roulette but the computer screen bookies one with a constant smell of weed and fags in the air.

I don't get the snobbery. I made some money in the bookies over xmas also, Frodon at 22/1 was some ridiculous price. Maybe you should slum it a bit more

As long as you can get your money out when you want to, I don't see the problem with crypto speculation/investing.

I've bought and intend holding my coins so I don't know, can you set limit sell orders?

I had a nice walk today to consider the moral issues. I went to the plantsoen, out to the water tower, a short lap of Cronesteyn, by the time I got to the Rappenburg I was up 500usd. Moral issues resolved

It's not illegal so go for it, nobody will stop you and I won't either. Purely self reflection as to why I won't touch it and consider it morally and legally undesired.

Rapenburg is my favourite street in Leiden. The walk from the law faculty down to the breestraat in winter with the lights up is nothing short of fabulous.
