Left to right in that order in your cutlery drawer. Anything else is just anarchy!

Spot on.
And then a few cutting knives, wooden spoons and a bottle opener in the wire basket section on the right of the spoons (obviously tea spoons in the small front section) and finally a bunch of random stuff with lumps of Marmite like shit stuck to them which you can be arsed to clean residing in the space of bare drawer on the far right. Job done.

I have always had spoons, forks, knives, vertically, with t-spoons separate horizontally below, and larger stuff in a different draw.
Chop sticks, skewers and sporks are a bit in disarray
Have them in a pot beside on the bench with my spud masher and straws...... next to the other one with spatulas and shit

Exactly. Chopsticks on the left, spoon on the right. All in stainless steel.
Anything else is wrong.

Spoons on the right is madness. Always has been. Always will.
In fact I think Freud wrote a paper on it years and years ago, about people having spoons on the right wanted to shag their mothers and wear women's clothes.

My cutlery drawer has sections from front to back instead. What do I do?!?
It must have been invented by Dozy.

Down with Clogs here. The real big game is the the drawer to the left of the cooker. That’s where you have a potato masher, to ensure sometimes it won’t open.

Nah. That's the drawer under the cutlery. You have to make sure there's a crash and rattle every time either is opened.

We have knives, spoons, forks
I know it's wrong and it irritates me slightly every time I'm unloading the dishwasher, but not enough to actually change it. Some day when we use up all the spoons I'll consider it.

We have dessert spoons, forks and knives, with teaspoons horizontally below them.
I wonder if it is anything to do with my wife being left-handed and me being ambidextrous?

I/we put them in as they come out of the dishwasher so we get a rotation or we used to until we got a cutlery draw on the dishwasher. Life is a bit more germanic and ordered now.
I will watch this thread with interest to decide the new method.
In preparation for future times I am boycotting chopsticks, bat soup, pangolins, wet markets etc.

I had a mate who was a steward on the overnight ferry Wgtn - Lyttleton. They didn't use drawers for the cutlery and crockery.
They had a porthole.
Job done. No fuss.

As if Sir even knows where the kitchen is, let alone where the cutlery is kept.

Actually if you don't have knives forks spoons you are a confirmed pangolin fiddler. And we know how that is turning out.

Coincidence! I'm ambidickstrous and the wife is left and right handed.
Makes no difference to the cutlery drawer. Teaspoons, spoons, forks, knives.
