What would you suggest?

Edit- I ask because to me 1 yr out on 5 yr deal sounds about right but my commercial negotiations are limited and not in this field (IT related)

For now, they could try for a shorter interim deal.

RA (and this applies to the rest of Sanzaar as well) will need to renegotiate their existing broadcast deals. So they could look to push any interim 2020 arrangement to go into 2021 as well - if these seasons eventuate.

The idea of a 5-year deal agreed within the next 6 months is not a good prospect for RA.

Both SARU and NZR had reached their 5-year agreements much earlier. Thing is, however, those deals are likely to take a post-crisis hit as well.

Yes and no.

The timing was still late, though. Unlucky, in that if they'd just squeezed their homework in before, say, February then RC would remain the boss. Gotta say it was cutting it fine.

In another way it's brought reality into sharp focus sooner - because the sanzaar program was teetering even before covid.
That we were going to get our money doubled by Optus on a fading product well before Covid 19 what a few loons here are adamant about is as speculative as the Folau settlement.

A few loons are adamant about a claim you just invented?

She left a hell of a mess at the Bulldogs, wasn't exactly a roaring success at NNZ and hasn't managed to achieve diddly squat at RA. Feel sorry for the way she has been treated but there is no guarantees that she was going to make things better coming out of Covid19. Hopefully this virus is a catalyst for massive change across SANZAAR nations because the way it was going they were doing their utmost best to kill SH rugby.
That's bullshit about Castle leaving a mess at the Bulldogs. That wasn't her mess.

The Board and Hasler decided that they would throw all their money at buying a premiership. They gave $1m a season to Foran who turned out to be one of their worst signings ever together with a few other has beens.

The Board then got turfed. And Hasler decided to fudge off back to Manly.

One of the former board members was interviewed and he said it was their high risk, all in strategy.

Oceanbreeze is a classic example of the worth of an "ignore" function. The breeze flows straight through his brain cavity, unimpeded, from ear to ear.\
Most of my fellow country men are ruled by the Bible. Brainwashed as kids by the Methodist Church. Made to contribute to Church tithes, and embarrassed in front of the congregation, if they cannot spare another penny. In many cases, the alternative is their families go without good food, clothing or education.

Fiji is a country of casual racism and casual homophobia. Often hidden behind images of friendliness and smiles.

And like most other countries, it's full of idiots like Ocean Breeze who sprout shit.
