Oh yeah! I had dinner there in 2015 and still remember the place fondly. The brisket was some of the best I've ever had.

I've never known him to take not getting one across so badly.

I genuinely hope he's ok. :?

Would like to claim quality vs quantity, but that'd be a lie!

I notice he resigned his council position earlier this year. Perhaps in advance of his round the world sailing effort?

He couldnt balance the hectic nature of council life with leading the global charge against a pandemic of biblical proportions. No man could

Hey MM, how are you guys doing, keeping up the Houston tradition of totally ignoring any Gov't guidance, particularly when it comes to Covid  . Unfortunately we went back to the office this week, but at least the traffic is light.....

Doing well thanks and hope all of yours are well and coping.

Caught between admiration for the Texan independent streak and concern that folks may just be oblivious. Still at home and feeling very grateful to have the ability to continue working from home and still being paid, unlike lots of others.

Garden and the grills getting lots of attention!

Yep we've had great weather to be stuck at home, this is one of the nicest springs I can remember. Talking to my friends in O&G it seems like most companies will be returning to the office during June, so hopefully you'll have another month +.

Fingers crossed you'll dodge the bullet, a lot of companies are making very deep cuts to stay afloat through the combination of Covid and oil prices :(

So do I, and I'm nice enough to think that the first trumps the second.

I hope he’s ok, and hasn’t gone to the big lift depot / morgue / suspension bridge / nightclub / starred restaurant / Bank of England / harbour / betting shop / deckchair hire kiosk / drumming booth / council office / parade ground / small 1980’s semi detached Bovis home / Essex A&E ward / patent office in the Sky

He lives in Oundle, half the board can give you his address if you can go round and chap his door?

Getting pretty serious, would assume normally he would reply quick to any email (as long as still an email he uses. Jake was it his or his dogs email you sent it to?)
Can’t see any obits for him or the management so hopefully that’s a positive.

Any reason you cut the rest of my post, it was specifically in relation to the no reply to an email (knowing Globby’s passion for attention). Not because of an unannounced flounce.

Loads of prolific posters on this forum have decided to down tools and wander off into the sunset without fanfare or the need for some epic flounce. For a few ex posters I know off the board the most common reason was that this place was just consuming too much of their family time or was affecting their work and decided it was time to quit. I hope Globby is safe and well but I would not be surprised if he just decided to just go cold turkey and get on with his life as he was spending most of his waking hour on here. If he was indeed the well travelled man of means, influence, wealth, multiple hobbies etc that he made out to be I really wish he would actually go and enjoy life 'out there' in his retirement.

I have no idea why you are still going on about a flounce you fanny. I have pointed out my reason for concern was lack of reply to direct communication (as you can check hadn’t posted on here before that).

I'm pretty sure I've managed to avoid being nasty to him - although this did involve putting him on ignore...

I hope he has sailed off somewhere pleasant, somewhere bereft of internet coverage.

Something just occurred to me. Could the Globus persona be that of a master troll who has been forced to work from home and has forgotten the password to the account which was saved on his work machine or has been furloughed/lost their job and had to hand back the laptop and thus can no longer post?

Didnt Globby post at the beginning of the crisis that he may have connectivity issues? perhaps this was a subterfuge that he knew he would no longer be able to access his login in details.........

He’s old so it won’t be work related, but this is a bollocks car crash of a thread and I’m sure he would love the attention. He’s still a cock, even if he’s dead.
