21 yo Irish man Oli Jager (former Leinster academy player) on the verges of the All Blacks. He's been named in New Zealand's Provincial Barbarians to play the All Blacks.

Verge of the All Blacks

He's played half a game for the Crusaders this year as injury cover.

This is a Baabaas team, not a rep team, and he wasn't even deemed good enough for the original squad.

I've no doubt he'll return to Ireland as a better player and, perhaps, a better person.

Would you like to explain who his parents are and where they are from ... ? Just for context ...

At a glance, he ain't from round these parts ... regardless of where he spent a couple of years in school ...

Indeed, as the guy is actually Dutch. Played handball for the Netherlands or something.

He'll no doubt return to Holland a better player and, perhaps, a better person.

Born in England, Dutch father, Irish school

He's as Kiwi as it gets.

And of course he's ended up in NZ by chance.

Sounds as Irish as Salanya ...

Quick! give him a cap to make him ineligible for Ireland. In fact we should be capping all our third tier players to prevent them from playing for Ireland, who are, afterall, our biggest challengers at the moment.

He's been in NZ since 2013 so he's already been eligible for a while.

Based on the usual project player metrics we see elsewhere he should really be an All Black starter by now.

Is he eligible for Ireland?

He's six inches shorter than his father, so he must have some real weak genes on his mothers side.
So yes, presumably eligible for Ireland.

I wish Meister Jager all the best in getting dicked by 100 points in the tour opener.

I believe he's busy just now. Hopefully the Lions tour will entice him out

The only people who work less than teachers are tube drivers and English builders. Busy. My arse.

Gotta say that escalated quickly over night.

No umlaut over the 'a'in Jäger. Full name Oliver Hager if you want be specific. He's as Irish as Jamie Heaslip who was born in Israel while his dad/mam lived there.

He's no Michael Bent or Rodney Ah You but he's been well worth his 20 minutes off the bench this season.

I watched that game.

In his 20 minutes he managed some good tackles, a turnover and an offload. Mike Ross would be proud.
