Something like a program that listens to a recording/upload a song and it spits out the different instruments and the sheet music for what they played?

If it doesn't exist i'm patenting that idea

Kind of. Easy enough to convert clean audio (i.e. 1 instrument) to MIDI (e.g. https://www.conversion-tool.com/audiotomidi/) or sheet music (e.g. https://solmire.com/miditosheetmusic/). Can use EQ and other tricks to separate some instruments/vocals/tracks. Would need machine learning to cleanly pull out things that a more intertwined.

Or just someone with a good ear.

Also, software is more a copyright than a patent thing. Hard to protect a software idea, which is why you see heaps of apps ripping off other apps.

If you had the masters easily done, with the mixed end product not so much. The notes you could isolate but the instrument would be problematic.

That's transcribing, not transposing which is changing music to a different key. Sounds great in theory but I'd question the need for it - it's not difficult to get a transcription or video lesson for almost anything you'd want to play. And of course it would probably be rubbish as Bindi and BBB have said.

It exists. For example

http://www.intelliscore.net/

I've never used it and so I've no idea how well it works. Frankly I would be amazed if it does an even half way passable job.

I use Transcribe! (the exclamation mark is part of the name) to help me with transcriptions.

It is still a manual process, but this software makes it much easier.
