So it’s yet another hot week in the SE of England, still no rain and even more glorious weather forecast. Could there be a hosepipe ban in our future?

Yet another opportunity to inform on our neighbours.... :uhoh:

And we're heading into winter. Dire state of affairs.

It look lush.
There hasn’t been a drought in NW England in 1500 years

Ffs, there’s even a drought in the northwest of Ireland at the moment, and historically two consecutive days of sunshine here constitutes a heatwave, and a terrifying insight into the true meaning of global warning.

This should improve from August onwards. La Nina developing which will bring rains to the north island in late winter

You know what's going to happen though. Mid June , July and August will be washouts

This week could be golden up here. Certainly enough rain down and to come which, along with very mild weather (I was in shorts yesterday), should give some great autumn growth. I hope the Hawkes Bay area gets some too.

Is that from the east coast low that hit NSW end of last week?

Yeah, it weakened a lot by the time we got it here but still had goodish totals - although less than we had hoped

Oz had drought and bushfires last summer.

Going to be tonnes of rain next summer for Victoria and NSW. La Nina and negative IOD

I am fully expecting that when we finally get some real freedom it'll lash for a month alright. It would be a statistical anomaly amongst statistical anomalies to expect any sort of decent weather in July/August. :(

I am beginning to wonder whether the good weather is a feature of lockdown? Less pollution etc.

I'm worried about water shortages here so I have to get up early in the morning to water the plants in the garden because it rains so heavily in the afternoon you can barely see what you're doing.

Two threads tonight:
Priest Gone, not what I thought
Hosepipe gone, I thought it's not, but it turned out to what it says on the box.
