Watching some netflix documentary about coups and such like, and this weird f*cker is commenting on a lot of it. Could any englishes watching describe his accent to me?

I'll hazard a guess at affeced Oxbridge of the sort that is inherited from listening to Deddy hold forth on frightfully complex matters from an absurdly young age?

Judging by the name and accent I suspect there's an attempt to be as undeniably English as possible. He ran for the Tories in the 80s, so he probably fúcking loathes any association with Ireland and overcompensates.
