Is the referee Egon Seconds? 8-1 to the home team.

Jordan is having a very good game.
Re: Hurricanes vs Crusaders: MATCH THREAD: June 21
Nice
. We could have still been under the pump if the Hurricanes hadn’t opted for the drop goal.

Sigh! Canes start believing they have it in the bag.
Nice try Saders. But too easy.

3 tries to nil. I like the way the Hurricanes are mixing things up, and have moved away from their x factor stereotype preferring to score with penalty goals and drop goals instead of tries

Garden-Bachop passes that and it’s 19 all.

Terrible missed tackle by Billy Harmon there that led to the JGB line break.

It looked as if two players tried to tackle him and sort of got in each other's way.Ali's Choice wrote:Terrible missed tackle by Billy Harmon there that led to the JGB line break.

The obligatory penalty at every breakdown makes for a terrible game to watch.

I would have preferred them to have another crack.

Crusaders could have had a man in the bin right on the halftime siren.

This is so shit to watch. Can we have old Rugby back please? I want to watch players playing rugby, not a bloke with a whistle desperate to be the centre of attention. I've been hanging out for this match for weeks but this is almost unwatchable.
Re: Hurricanes vs Crusaders: MATCH THREAD: June 21
God, Bachop is as thick as pigshit. That dropout should have been well in the Saders half, instead it nearly makes the 10 metre.
Canes are just hanging on. Too many journeymen, not enough nous and strangely for a team replete in journeymen, not enough grit.

Canes hanging in there against a clearly superior side thanks to a deluge of penalties.
Re: Hurricanes vs Crusaders: MATCH THREAD: June 21
Half the stadium (tv camera side) is empty. For shame Wellington.
Still wondering how the Canes are still in the match.

Stop your beating. It's just you lads getting used to the proper law interpretations, whereas the other teams had their blowout last week.Ali's Choice wrote:This is so shit to watch. Sadists could be streets ahead if they didn't infringe so much when they come under pressure.

Re: Hurricanes vs Crusaders: MATCH THREAD: June 21
I expect Razor to drill the penalty count and breakdown issues into the players over the break. Am hoping for a lot less penalties in the 2nd 40.
Re: Hurricanes vs Crusaders: MATCH THREAD: June 21
The Crusaders could end up with the rare try scoring losing bonus point if they aren’t careful.*

Wasn't there a similar penalty count last night?Ted. wrote:Stop your beating. Yes, but not as lopsided as last weeks swings and round a bouts. If you genuinely think the Saders are hard done by though ....Fat Old Git wrote:Wasn't there a similar penalty count last night?Ted. wrote:Stop your beating. Re: Hurricanes vs Crusaders: MATCH THREAD: June 21
This is the 4th match in this tournament, and every game has been characterised by massive penalty counts. I'm trying to think why NZR decided that Super Rugby Aotearoa urgently needed the referees to officiate the breakdown to within an inch of its life. It's always been a Rugby truism that there is a penalty at every breakdown and at the moment that's exactly what's happening with this comp.Ted. wrote:Stop your beating.
