If anyone is interested in watching Christchurch club Rugby, Lincoln Uni are playing High School Old Boys and this game is being streamed via FB below

https://www.facebook.com/watch/live/?v= ... live_video

Lincoln Uni's Brett Cameron looks crap even at this level

Match day mofos.

I'm going to be watching Billy Harmon like a hawk today, and if we plays as badly as I expect him to I'm going to troll him with everything I've got. Scott Robertson is a very good coach, who is generally superb at the selection table, but his persistence with Billy Harmon continues to confound me. I'd love to be proven wrong, and for Harmon to perform brilliantly today, but I just don't think he has the capacity or ability to be a good openside flanker at this level.

Could a Billy Harmon award be in the offing?

I will be there attempting to bring my son back to the path of righteousness. I don’t care if he is Wellington born and has lived his eight years here. His support for the Hurricanes grates on me :x Parental love should be unconditional, but seeing him in A Hurricanes shirt is pushing it.

Weather wise, after a few days of rain it’s clearing and a fairly still day. Here’s hoping for a good game.

The thing about Billy Harmon, is that he doesn't play badly, per se. He's never had an absolute shocker like Dane Coles did back in 2007 against the Cheetahs which led to the 'Dane Coles Award'. He just doesn't ever play that well.

Jarred Percival going around for Old Boys? He's welcome back at Mid Canterbury anytime.

I didn't see the team lists, and my knowledge of the Christchurch Metro club comp isn't as strong as it once was. Brett Cameron was the most credentialed player on display and Rameka Poihipi was probably the standout player.

I hope the weather plays the game and the Cantabs are not rusty from missing that first round of hard rugga, as from 10 out that is a potential future year AB backline there. Appreciate Will Jordan will bow to Beaudy for now but the rest are all youngersters and all have the goods. Looking forward to Ennor having a full competition run in the centres as he really stands out as the best potential Cantab in what is a really strong back squad.

I feel a bit strange about thos I obviously want the Crusaders to play well and to win. But I'm much less worried about that than usual. Guess I'm just happy to have some rugby to watch.

Come on the Canterbury Westland Nelson Marlborough regional super rugby team!

Jeez, that's a powerful lineup right across the park for the Saders.

Should have passed inside to score under the posts but a lovely counter from a lineout error.

EDIT: Richie says no problem.

My excuse is that it's 10°C outside. Which after highs if 21°C on both Tuesday and Wednesday is a bit of a shock to the system.

Anyway, how good was that opening try!

Edit. Also, I've just realised it's in Wellington!

Blackwell's selection continues to haunt the Canes.

As does our lack of potency at 1st 5.

The Crusaders are targeting Ben Lam with short kicks that are making him turn around.

The Saders wouldn't have allowed that run by Lam to die.

In fact they didn't.

The ball had been stripped from Tiatia before his knee had touched the ball. Even at full speed it was a tough call against Goodhue.

Doing the same thing at lineout time, yet expecting a different result. Mind, tgecjumpers are simply not jumping at times.
