Best scene in game of thrones?

There are many candidates. Arya and the Frey pie. The mountain squashing the Dorn guy's head. That smug prick the High Sparrow's 'Oops' moment, to name a few.

But for me, it was Sansa feeding that shit Ramsey to his own dogs.

I was just going to say, if anyone says the best scene in GOT was "the mountain squashing that guy's head", then that person would have to be a bit f**ked up in the head.

The best scene was The Battle of the Bastards. EOT.

I have a few GOT scenes that I really like. But the one scene that sticks out for me, is in season 3 when Daenerys reveals to the slave owner that Valyrian is her first language just before unleashing the fury. She can leave her shoes under my bed anytime.

Probably Ned losing his head in Season 1. Hardhome is a good shout too.

We rewatched them all reasonably recently and the decline of the show from Season 5 onwards is noticable. Seasons 1, 2 and 3 are superb.

This was brilliant, it genuinely had hair standing on the back of my neck. Having read the books I knew a lot of the other scenes being mentioned were coming.

I think it was the last genuinely great moment in the show.

Of course the moment itself is ruined because of what came later. What was the f**king point in Hodor's sacrafice? Literally achieved nothing.

Yeah one scene. It was the best battle I've seen on screen. Aided by the fact that there's a possibility the bad guys could've won as per GoT style.

I feel we're only talking about GoT now because it took a longtime to get over how shit/unemotional the ending was. Was it the producers' fault or everyone had just speculated and discussed all the possible endings that it was no longer a surprise?

Another scene I really enjoyed was the very first scene of season 1, episode 1, when two of the night's watch encounter a White Walker. That one scene held my attention for the whole first season, and provoked a great sense of foreboding that 'winter is coming'.

I read the book a couple years later, and the scene described in the book was just as suspenseful!

Yeah, that would have been cool. My three favourite TV shows of all time, GOT being one of them, all had disappointing endings. What a journey through the seasons though.

Personally I thought the Battle of the Bastards was terrible and part of the whole decline of the series. Whole thing went on way too long.

The bit I enjoyed was when the dead overrun the wildlings, and they just manage to make it onto the boat to escape.

They did a good job of turning the source material in to a series - a REALLY good job.

Once the source material ran out, they proved not capable of finishing it to the same standard.
