New Zealand ******g idiots

So we sent them some Covid-19 and they spread it around their previously Covid-19 free nation on compassionate ground. It's like they've never watched an episode of border force

What's your issue with NZ? Did one of your girlfriends shag a kiwi and not let you watch?

No issue. Just had a chat with a mate and she is not a happy bunny. Can't blame her either. Whoever cut short their quarantine needs locking up.

The Brexiters were right after all. They are increasing exports to former UK colonies.

It did but someone decided that it wasn't needed in this case.

We have never expected that it would be kept out. But we did have an expectation that the incoming cases would be picked up and managed by the quarantine process, and not released unescorted without testing before that process had been completed.

Agreed - and we cannot keep it out of the country. But we can and should be able to contain it on arrival with strong quarantine. For some reason the rules that were in place have been totally ignored.

Yes, for Kiwis coming home, Hollywood moguls/actors and directors, America cup participants, but if you’re a Philippine who has lived and worked in NZ for the last five years on a temporary work visa, in fact may even have children born in NZ, sadly no, despite the dairy farmers of the country desperate for their 2Nd in charge to come back and work for them, where better to self isolation than on a farm, but hey, Hollywood lives matter

the last five years on a temporary work visa,
Perhaps the farmer could have trained up a Kiwi by now? (And I say the same about the local Pizza Hut or KFC who have A.Mgrs from overseas for years)

C’mon Enz you know better than that, if those jobs could have been filled with willing Kiwis then they would have...they’re not for whatever reason which is why these farmers are getting desperate

Mostly for repatriation. A few regular routes about to restart. We're still only allowing NZ residents entry at the moment unless there's some benefit, the Avatar film crew from USA most notable, likely a few handfuls of others.

Seems to be a few holes in the fishbowl we're capable of creating to keep the covid on the outside as we do with agriculture/horticulture nasties. Should be sorted relatively quickly, everyone pretty bitter about the breach.

Kiwis are to lazy and don't want to do that kind of work. I blame consecutive governments for letting them live off welfare. They should have to get off their arse and find a job. Anyone under 80 shouldn't be allowed to claim benefit. [/Sonny Cunt]

No, the protocol was there but wasn't complied with by whichever muppets were running these facilities.

I do know better than that as I was tied up with immigration work tests for quite a few years- that's why I have that view. Too many employers take the piss (like insisting that their 2ICs have a vet qualification (overseas one is fine of course) and then pay wages that a Kiwi wouldn't accept) and those who are genuine also take the piss (like in your example) of just relying on rolling over the approval forever rather than training a Kiwi for the role.

And I have heard many a farmer bragging about their Philipino worker doing 80 hour weeks (on a salary) because "they've got nothing else to do". Of course no average Kiwi will do that - they are not dumb.

I use farmers as you have, but many other businesses do much the same thing (like insisting on a level 6 business qualification to be the 2IC of a dairy)

Maui has no cases either. They have the same 14 day quarantine rules in place. Police do spot checks at all times if the day or night on new arrivals.

Break the isolation rules it’s a $5k fine per person and you’re on a plane out of there in 24 hours.

We cannot deport Kiwis - with a few exceptions for economic reasons, we have closed off for everyone else.

Reminds me of something I saw on TV about a guy who regularly escaped from Mt Eden prison (central Auckland) in the 1960s to go to his nearby home for dinner on the weekends. He then returned to prison again before anyone noticed.

You can just as easily apply it to any industry though, as it happens through all industries.
