Bored history: famous posters

Follow-on from the bored legends thread.

How many famous players, coaches, referees* and commentators (past and present) did we have over the years?

Brian Moore is the only one I know of for certain.

I heard one of the SuperSport commentators use a boredism once (can't recall who or what was said), but that's not 100% proof obviously.

Also, any other famous sportsmen and women from other sports?

*Referees from the big leagues. So, sorry HK.

Almost sure a couple of Leicester players posted here many moons ago. One or two of the English posters can confirm this

Think Healey was one of them.

When really famous people all meet at the bar on their Mauritian island retreat, they try to impress each other with tales of how well they know Globby.

These threads come up from time to time and always die a quick death.

Turns out we’re not that attractive to famous people.

The Park-footy of the internet.

Not that I’m complaining. Nothing better than running around in the thirds, bossing the part-timers and having a fag at half time.

That’s so very odd, I’ve never expressed any “authoritarian “ views , wishes or other wise. I am a liberal in the classic sense, and hold nothing like Powell’s views ever.

Easy for Mullett to mistake as he’s a political child raised with Irish politics, you’re the urbane builder though and I fear a waste of any educational nuance you received.

Courteous and refined eh? Thank you, that's the nicest thing anyone's said to me for a while. Also, what exactly is educational nuance?

Re marty farty, he did say his name, but then bought so much gin I can't remember it.
