Well, that would certainly drive a man to not-drink. You’d have need of your right arm for aiming blows at your own scone.

MungoMan wrote:And my confession: I’m more vocal at the ground than many of the folk who I suspect are Proper Rugby People.

I’m rather given to making helpful suggestions to the team I’m supporting, e.g. for god’s sake STOP those woeful box kicks, and to the referee, e.g. PLEASE lose the whistle. I occasionally boo the oppo kicker (but also grudgingly clap a particularly well-taken goal). I’m also very partial to booing, even tho’ my best efforts don’t match those of the true boomeisters one encounters at Mitre 10 Cup games. And I invariably produce a voluble display of displeasure when the hellish musical accompaniment at Suncorp continues when play has started / restarted.

None of this amuses Ms MungoSpouse.
I sat through a whole game with Mungoman and Mungospouse and didn't boo once or denounce the announcer or his music.

I confess there might be a wee lie in one of those statements.

You receive not nearly enough kudos for either your honesty or your restraint.

And for the avoidance of doubt, the benchmark booing was at the Rotorua ground and not the Caketin. Ted is off the hook.

Each time Ali's Choice posts his gloating Queensland COVID-19 stats a little part of me hopes that Queensland has a massive outbreak infecting hundreds of thousands and killing tens of thousands.

I freely acknowledge that the moment you think about it for so much of a nanosecond you realise it's a truly horrible & ridiculous reaction.

Ali's Choice - making those he interacts with worse people for 15 years.

In games when SA lose, I prefer it to be a complete kak performance, rather than a close loss. This is because it makes the post-match shitfights a lot more entertaining.

Unfortunately we can't seem to stop winning at the moment!

OK. Here we go

I’ve been a registered poster for 15 years, but lurking for perhaps 17

In all that time, I’ve never been to a cabal, posted a pic, or revealed anything meaningful

This is because I have a public persona (and no, I’m not NFJ) that would mean I would be in deep shit if the (admittedly Australia-only) ‘world’ knew who I was.

With the 11th hour approaching, I wanted to get that off my chest, if for no other reason, than to explain why I never went to a cabal.

Peace.

Listen, I’m not proud of it. I’d had a few drinks and was feeling a bit mellow.

Okay, I tried to engage Seneca in an adult conversation. I don’t want this ever mentioned again.
