Let alone the Covid19 risk why on earth do you want to spend time on a beach this busy?

If BLM and the SJW groups can protest in large numbers then I see no issue with people going to the beach.

Though tbf why so many people would want to cram themselves onto a beach like that x( is anyone’s guess. Not my idea of chilled out fun!

One of the only decent beaches in the country I’m not surprised.

About 8am this morning the new forest was bumper to bumper ffs with people coming in from over the country.

Locals aren’t stupid - most or a fair amount haven’t gone to the beach. Was always going to be rammed etc.

Southampton common was quieter than I expected today and yesterday. Certainly compared to the few days prior to that.
Seems like everyone's gone down the road.

Can't fail to see the irony that people tend to move to Bournemouth for their final years

We can't congregate like that here in QLD, and we've had no new cases of COVID-19 in a week and a half.

Well done England, you're obviously doing very well in the fight against COVID-19 for people to feel so relaxed and so comfortable to cram together in such numbers  . I only hope that sometime soon, here in Australia with our 104 total deaths, that we'll be able to socialise like this as well.

Oh, we'll have a bunch of stupid, entitled Welsh twats I'm sure. But they'll still be better than stupid entitled southern English twats naturally.

Bournmouth I can understand, it's Brighton that has always baffled me. They usually show Brighton packed like that on hot days, but it wasn't until I went there for a Stag Do that I realised there wasn't a bit of sand there, just giant cobbles. Who the fudge would want to spend the day on that sort of beach...let alone packing in like sardines?

That picture is absurd. Is it wrong to half-hope the lot of them catch coronavirus? What completely selfish twats.

And I agree with the OP. Even without the benefit of corona, If I rocked up to a far prettier beach with 1/4 that number of people on it, I'd immediately turn the car around. Who the f-ck wants to swim in everyone else's piss and farts and sit on the beach with other people half a foot away from you? I'd much rather just sit in the bathtub at home.

Trolling? I was congratulating the English. Clearly in the UK COVID-19 is well and truly under control and hence the English public feel completely safe. I just hope that it won't be two long until Queenslanders, with our 6 deaths in total and 2 current active cases of infection, are able to enjoy our beautiful beaches in a similar way.

Yeah, but if you don’t open your borders to the rest of us moneyed-states soon, your service-based economy will be in the shitter.
I have a profligate dirty weekend in Noosa planned for September. That alone would keep your delightful backwater going for a week or two.

You can keep your plague thanks. We'll open up to the cashed up West Australian bogans, Kiwis and South Australians long before we let in any virus-zombies from NSW or Victoria.

I must admit, in recent years I’ve noticed a wisdom coming from Gwent, it’s a very subtle wisdom, an acquired taste if you will, but a wisdom nonetheless.
