My fear for the UK is this, we are a yob nation, across the world societies listen and stick to the rules, for the UK the majority of people have been sticking to the rules.
But we have a minority of idiots with a large yob element, on Thursday half a million flocked to Bournemouth Beach packed like sardines no distancing and they left behind tons of rubbish, 33 tons to be exact .

Why is it people won't take their litter home, and why don't we have heavy fines for these pigs, we will return lockdown unless the kids get back to school college and uni, if they are turning up in their thousands to parks raves and beeches they can piss of back to get themselves educated.

Nobody tell Clive how many shits the mob had. He'll go ballistic.

Seriously anyone who sees rubbish within 10 feet of where they are sitting on a beach and doesn’t pick it up should be fined £500.

Littering in this country is a horrendous issue as is throwing away shit we can recyle. I've received verbal abuse from people on trains for offering to take their plastic bottle or newspaper home with me for recycling when they're about to put it in the bin. Mind boggling.

The Japanese used to have a similar problem and set out to tackle it. Aggressively, through law and education. Now they're one of the cleanest nations in the world and lead the way on recylcing.

Sadly there are to many slob families who don't give a shit, it would benefit all if these pigs were fined jailed or 6 months community service, picking up litter.

There was large campaign - Keep Britain Tidy - all through the 70's which was very successful but faded away and hasn't been repeated on the same scale since.

BPC Council are making a lot of money from carparks and fines + not paying for the clean up. With the money saved by not opening or cleaning toilets, not paying lifeguards etc - they are just blaming the public and making the right noises in public.

The trouble is people in this country are happy to jump on board with the massive environmental issues like climate change or mass extinction but it'd never even cross their mind to keep their local environment clean and tidy.

We need some twitter celebrities to go out with litter pickers to get the mob to do something productive for once.

Pretty much this. I have lost count of the times when at the lights a driver just lobs litter out the window.

I've seen so many masks and gloves thrown on the floor or in bushes since Covid19 started. Its outrageous behaviour.

My country road and the hiking trail across the road from us regularly have take-out drink cups, plastic bottles and even beer cans (this past week, more of those than anything else! ) strewn about. I'm the sort who'd normally pick them up, pop in my backpack's side holster, and deposit into the first bin. Now ...

I was on my bike at a set of lights in Chiswick years ago when some tit in a van dropped a whole bag of Maccie D's rubbish on the road just in front of me. I picked it up and launched back through the window and the guy went bezerk and was actually chasing me down the road in his van screaming at me. He followed me down a few side streets until I manged to dart down a side alley on my bike, it was genuinely frightening being chased by a lunatic.

I think pigs who buy junk food like KFC and MD, should just feed with troughs outside the premises, fat lazy litter bastards.

I saw a petition online recently requiring laws to be passed to ensure that the big chains put customer car number plates on the bags. I suppose the peasants would tear it off and still chuck it?

Was in Belfast for British Pride Day and the litter left behind was something to behold.

The worst I’ve seen is a collection of plastic bag filled with dog shit left on a wall at the car park of a local forestry car park. Why the fcuk would you go to the trouble of picking up the shit and then leaving it on a wall?

I think it's the reverse. People don't give a toss about keeping their immediate environment clean and free of pollution, especially if it means they have to do anything that even vaguely inconveniences them, so the more existential threat of climate change really is someone else's problem.

Hate seeing litter anywhere. Until recently we had a problem with flytippers dumping stuff from vans on the side of country lanes, however local farmers caught a few a while back and we no longer have that problem.
