My login registration got lost in the mail (probably bulk deleted by Enzedder along with the spambot applications) so I posted my shit on a feral soccer forum for about 5 years instead, where you could join with only a generic free email address.

Occasionally visited here in the meantime before signing up around 2007-08.

1999 RWC. First time I used the internet was '99 and was constantly reading about rugby on PR, Rugbyheaven, scrum.com etc. Forum was dead back then so I didn't interest me until RWC'11 when Tonga beat France and I wanted to read every reaction on the media/internet about it, so I ventured back.

We haven’t done this for a while. Anyway, it was all down to an (in)famous saffa poster, who maybe knows sweet FA about SA rugby Players but does have an intimate knowledge of the penal system in SE Asia

Apparently we were so dirty, when we punched him, his contact lens flew out!

But other than that we were pretty cool. Nothing special, apart from the odd testicle grab, occasionally eye gouge and the once in a while gobbing in the face.

Simon S-B on rec.sport.rugby.union mentioned it when answering a question about which web-based forums rather than Usenet forums were hoovering up existing or prospective rsru posters.

I used to visit the Planet Rugby website frequently for rugby news, match reviews etc and never so much as noticed there was a forum.

Lurked for a while and thought that this was the perfect place for someone who has to pretend to work on a PC most of the day and talk sh!te to other numpties. After a while I realised I have misjudged the place. It's the pefect place to talk absolute sh!te etc...

Yeah I think I was the same.

What a cess pit the 606 forums were. Sometimes my incoherent posts would get published on the official BBC sport match reports though which was fun.

Never even saw the Forum icon. Terrible website design.
