2 weeks to go, let's thank the Band - PR Visitors Book

Post by shanky »

blah blah, here's the news. We're done
viewtopic.php?f=3&t=99636

Let's take a moment to thank the people who have made it happen for us to talk rubbish and be heard

a) PR Towers - you never made a cent from us probably bru - but we're grateful OK
b) Jake - under-appreciated, much-loved, a bit quirky, like that character "egg" from that weird 90's show. For all you've done - Thank you
c) Mods - surprising amount of pressure that I would not tolerate. Furthermore, it stops you expressing you and turns it from 'fun' to 'job' Thanks guys. Very few people here would have done it.
A couple tried (yeah, you Sefton,..looking at you commiebitchmotherucker)
d) the posters, the regulars, the 'us' - well done people - you made the music. All of you, including all those people who weren't on Enzedders list LOL

Speaking for myself. I caused offence plenty of times. But then again, no offence intended.

If you go to the new lifeboats, have a good time

If you don't, then have a great life.

We happy few, we band of brothers.

These are just my first-entry thoughts...feel free to add your own (better) comments and thoughts below.

This is a Visitor's Book. Is that what you want as your entry?

To be fair, in my posting history, it’s probably my best.

It's been great fun and, often, a good source of information. I have already got my lifejacket on. See you on the other side.

I miss Dozy and Enzedder interacting. It was like a very naughty little brother and his wiser older sibling.

My live in Girlfriend wants to go on a. 3 week contiki tour of europe with a couple of her girlfriends.
We have a pretty solid relationship. She doesn't ever flirt with guys at the pub...

You think i need to worry about her upcoming trip...?

It feels strange that Hotel California is shutting down.

I'm not convinced I'll board a lifeboat, perhaps I'll go down with the ship.

He is pretty much seneca's son.
One of the most vile posters on here. He is like the next seneca. Copies everything from him pretty much and is seneca-lite at this moment but will turn into a worse version of seneca in the future.

Shanky - I did not realize you approved of posters like these. Imo you are almost as bad for encouraging their bigotry.

I would like to thank the band. Always seemed to put in an honest effort each day / night.

The drummer especially seemed to go above and beyond. Here is just his typical performance...
Maybe a bit over the top... but you have to love his enthusiasm....

Will PR still be readable after it's shut down? Or will everything be gone straight away?
Also what willposters not around now who might return or isn't a regular right now (Like say a theo) know where to go? Is everyone getting a shut down warning email in advance? (which is the normal course for suspending accounts or shutting a service)

Hello all. Thanks to those who have made this a great place to visit.

I rather like the comment about the "lifeboat" given I'm a member of the RNLI and a Yachtmaster Ocean".

I hope the new site will continue in the same vein as here.

I wish you all well. God bless.

Well I didn’t do any from 2003 to 2016 so I suspect it did affect profitability/my earnings 🙁

So, I'm pretty sure you'll have a reworking version of this in 2 weeks and then a second wave to follow.

We've mended the football forum- massive job- and it's starting to regenerate. it'll take time. We may move it to XenForo but not sure yet.

So, you can guarantee this will be fit for purpose and there'll be two stages.

If you go, fine. If you stay, great.

So is the forum moving or closing? (and we know you love the vague uncertainty here Jake)
