I think it's going to be longer than a 1970's Polish meat queue.

Like one of those religious cults where the leader promises that the world will end tomorrow at 2:15 pm without fail. And then the following week. And the week after that.

Only without the group sex (which given the posters, I am thankful for).

How many years since you held the 'PR funeral' cabal? (I think that was you).

Two weeks, be sure.

This is a very niche reference...

Surely no-one could think that a commercial enterprise would tolerate financing a never-ending coffee house for us bunch of misfits?

Surely?

If you lived in a dilapidated sharehouse and the landlord was a prick, while some good cvnt got the keys to a nice new place around the corner that your mates were moving into, why would you not go?

Not quite the right metaphor. It's more like 'It's Saturday night, do you go to the party at the rundown house where you'll know more people and more of your friends are likely to be, or do you go to the smaller party at the flashy new house where you'll know less people? I think you potentially keep going to parties at the rundown house until they get evicted.

More like Andy Warhol's factory in the 60s/70s. A cool place to hang around with some interesting people. The odd wierdo pops in. The landlord is an attention seeking, prima-donna whose sense of his own abilities are greatly exaggerated by some interest from commerce and he has a habit of throwing tantrums when no-one is engaging with him.

It could only ever end badly.
