Alan Parker Director Goooooooooonnnnnne

Post by EverReady »

He died. https://www.irishtimes.com/culture/film ... -1.4318921

Some great flicks including from a Irish context the legendary Commitments. His last film was pilloried and went direct to video The Life of David Gayle. Was actually pretty good if a little heavy handed. Midnight Express, Mississippi Burning and to slightly lesser extent Angel Heart are straight up classics

Bugsy Malone is the finest "custard pie shot from a gun" movie ever made.

RIP.

Bugsy was a mental film. After all these years he doesn't look like a dodgy paedo which is some feat considering some of the stuff made in the 70's

Although ironically Bugsy (aka Chachi) has definitely been accused of some dodgy shit.

It's mad that Jodie Foster had already been in Taxi Driver before Bugsy Malone
