Good Reds bench.

Not sure why the 9s have swapped - both are looking very sharp though.

Ponies are clear favourites, but the Reds might yet put 80 together.

Thorn may be recalling earlier in the season (Sharks?), when fast moving forward defence successfully pressured McDermott.

Will Thorn wait for the Brumbies to start replacing their starting loosies before swapping Malaloua for McDermott? Maybe.

Brumbies have rested Douglas and taking only two locks into the game... because that worked so well against the Tahs. :x

I'm quietly confident, bar the scrums. Sio is going to get his head shoved up his arse based in current form.

I love that they've brought child-man-monster Dane Zander into the starting pack just to wreck shit up.

I mean, look at this guy. He reminds me of that happy go lucky kid at school who had an immaculate Star Wars figurine collection but would also go fucken psycho if anyone touched the bag with his PE stuff in it.

I'm sure he hits the weights as well as the local bakery. Kid didn't even come through the prestigious pathways and played in the 3rds at Nudgee. He was asked to work hard and he did and I'm stoked for the lad. He isn't exactly useless on the field either. A front row of...

1. Dane Zander
2. Brandon Paenga-Amosa
3. Taniela Tupou

...would be mildly terrifying to most other front rows.

They're a bit light on in the locks though. LSL is playing lock (and he's playing the best he's ever played) but it'd be good to have more backup.

Sio has been shit all year. He looked fat and uninterested right at the start and doesnt seem to have gotten any better during the lockdown.

Luckily I have tickets to the game again!!

Good to see you are still posting BSteve. For what its worth I don't think RA will cave to the Kiwis and put NSW/QLD/WF-twiggy$ in the NZ comp at the ponies' expense.

We’ve got Zander vs AAA but people are saying Sio is past it as well and it’s foregone

Colour me blue but I suspect it won’t be that straightforward

Reds best scrummaging prop is on the bench this week - Feao Fotuaika

No luck with injuries the last couple of years, but if he’s 100% tomorrow he could cause some issues in the scrum and around the park.

Edit: I meant to say, best LH scrummager

I’m not sure it’s all about the props. Reds have locks that really seem to push.

I don't think he's past it, he's had elbow issues.

Yes, it won't be that straightforward.

With the Reds back 5 all 195cm or above, at least the lineout should go OK.

Hah!

Youse were all claiming is was about Tupou when our poor 12-year old LH on debut was getting thrashed.

I pointed out that he had Ned Hanigan pushing behind him but No, you didn’t want to hear it.

And neither should we. Ned is a seasoned international and a strapping young man.

Leaving for the game shortly. I will be in the second or third row in the bay between the 40 and 50 metr lines of the side running to the right of screen I will be wearing a blue and white striped beannie. Those of you who have my number and would like to provide some advice to the referee please text me and I will pass it on.

Very squeaky bum during the end there. Reds were the better team, certainly a mile better in the second half.

A very different story on Twitter, where Reds fans are claiming he removed his hands as soon as the ref told him to but got pinged anyway.

It shames and disgusts me that Reds supporters are on tw@tter. This world needs a hard reboot.
