Yep. It's been confirmed that the game is cancelled

https://rugby365.com/tournaments/currie ... cancelled/

If the Sharks can't play the semi final does the Cheetahs move up?

I'd be fine with this. Provided that there is no chance of the Sharks putting together a team, it would make sense to give the Cheetahs a crack at the semi.

will have to wait and see

few scenarios i think
Cheetahs gets a semi
Whoever play against the Sharks gets the win if Sharks forfeit
postponed date
or other
think we'll hear after this weekend's games what will happen

Jake last played 20 days ago and had 7 changes. I think he was in trouble but All he did was stood in the scrums, got Marco v Staden to match Schoeman and pinned Swanepoel back with high ones. Lions never once pressurised the Bulls inexperienced 15.
Simelane's absence on inside centre left the Lions without their main strike force

Simelane's absence on inside centre left the Lions without their main strike force, when he came from bench they've brought him in on outside centre. He on inside centre and combining with Swanepoel hitting the backline is a strike force that was missing in action this time
The Bulls played to the strategy JW devised with the rookies in the backline. 10 man rugby using the rookies as a defensive line and it worked as the Lions couldn't break the line

Too many silly mistakes and silly penalties conceded by the Lions

Bulls will still need a win or draw against Pumas I think. WP could beat the Sharks with a BP. If Jake slip against Jimmy who is a coach that can match him come strategy then it will be Lions off to CT or did the Bulls already finished on top of the log irrespective what happen in CT ?

MVM Holdings, an international investment consortium spearheaded by Marco Masotti, has entered into an agreement to purchase a 51 percent majority stake in The Sharks.

The current shareholders, the KwaZulu-Natal Rugby Union and SuperSport International, will hold the remaining 49 percent of the franchise. The financial terms of the transaction are confidential.

MVM Holdings were previously in discussions with WP Rugby/Stormers last year about a deal but it all came to nothing.

Pumas big lead at HT. 34-7. It again show the value of the locks etc. in the scrum as the Puma frontrower took the u/21 bull to the cleaners, then came on the experienced man Marcell v d Merwe from the bench and same story. Great Pumas tries

This U/21 gambit may not be a good move by Jake. OK, so they still finish first on the log, but ...

The semifinal is another two weeks away. Bulls first team will have played only 80 minutes actual game time in what, 40 f*ken days?

A few bucks on the Lions might work alright.

Vermaak is no Kitshoff, but scrum dominance is not the doing of only 1 player. I still expect WP to edge the scrums.

Malherbe is the real scrumming machine.

Lions and Bulls will have to adapt to how Rasta interpret the breakdown early on
WP will miss Kitshoff's going fwd
Good defence will win it as both Sharks and WP like to attack
