Kicking at Newlands with the wind swirling is tricky. Not sure how much experience Chris Smith have at Newlands

Pumas 22 - 17 Griquas a bit lucky as Griquas wasted 2 or 3 scoring opportunities.
What I observed in the wet is the frontrow power is neutralized and the weight from the locks brings advantage. The Pumas lock and Captain Le Roux Roets is a heavy big man and once the weight moves scrumtime behind the Pumas frontrows in the wet they pushed Griquas back whereas on a dry field it could have turned out the other way
Good attacking play from both sides. Jimmy's experiment with Williams on 10 turned out a success

Lions Well Done! 66m and in the wet! Swanepoel kick like a mule. He also kicked a 57m ans the winning 3 pointer. Pienaar caught WP napping Great Try! Senatla scored a great try for WP and his injury was a setback. The scrums with all that weight on the wet surface was a gamble penalty wise. Lions are back in the hunt!

One of the reasons I like Elton Jantjies. He could have taken the match winner in front of the posts himself but gave it to Tiaan

“We got absolutely massacred injury-wise during the game,”Dobson said.

“We had three or four concussions, we have a bloke or two in hospital.

“At half-time, I think there were two fit forwards of the original starting eight.

“[Starting hooker] Bongi [Mbonambi] and [replacement] Scarra [Siyabonga Ntubeni] and got knocks,” the coach said, adding: “I’m not sure what the diagnoses are.

“Neethling Fouche is in hospital with a concussion.

“[Lock] Salmaan Moerat got concussed.

“Trokkie [Juarno] Augustus was concussed and has a neck strain.

“[Wing] Seabelo Senatla injured his on his MCL.”
