Finally some real cricket. This series should be a good contest.

Re: NZ vs England - 1st ODI - Hamilton
Stokes back for England & Sodhi playing his first ODI in nearly a year for NZ.
Both teams will want to bounce back from disappointing T20I series. This is probably the strongest form of the game for both these sides, so it should be interesting.

That’s Saturday evening sorted.
Re: NZ vs England - 1st ODI - Hamilton
It looks a good day for it.
Re: NZ vs England - 1st ODI - Hamilton
10-1. Bairstow was having all sorts of trouble outside off stump.
Re: NZ vs England - 1st ODI - Hamilton
Yeah might pass on this shite, got some lawns to mow. Might do a bit of work on the outside paddock too
Re: NZ vs England - 1st ODI - Hamilton
Without Ferguson our attack looks a bit pop gun

Wasp suggesting England will get 268 - which won't be enough on this little postage stamp. Pitch a liyyle slow though and a bit of turrn for the spinners.
Stokes at the crease 8 from 12. He's got some time to get his eye in.

Yep, your lot's dastardly plan to rest him against Australia and save him for the main event looks like it's coming to fruition. Wouldn't be surprised if he scores a rapid fire century today. Despicable.ovalball wrote:Wasp suggesting England will get 268 - which won't be enough on this little postage stamp. Pitch a liyyle slow though and a bit of turrn for the spinners.

Re: NZ vs England - 1st ODI - Hamilton
Stokes slogs across the line to a ball spinning away (googly) - straight up in the air.
Daft bugger.

Nah, he's right. Used to be a reasonable size but they decreased the size of the ground to fit in more space for spectators. Yeah, that was useful.

Buttler chips 3 consecutive 6's straight down the ground.Enzedder wrote:Mr Mike wrote:Enz inbound....ovalball wrote:Wasp suggesting England will get 268 - which won't be enough on this little postage stamp.

Re: NZ vs England - 1st ODI - Hamilton
Rate sodhi but tends to lose it a bit - those 3 6s put England back in front

But - if the boundary there was 70m plus 20m for the pitch - a 90m hit is just clearing the ropes.

When did he arrive in NZ? A 27 hour flight can't have helped.

That was a dumb shot. He was nowhere near the ball.JB1981 wrote:Six and out for Munro. We are in trouble.

Re: NZ vs England - 1st ODI - Hamilton
I watched the Cricket Show during the break and saw Munro get out once and dropped a second time facing an over from Dai Henwood. It's hard to have confidence having seen that.
Re: NZ vs England - 1st ODI - Hamilton
And Williamson's poor form continues. I think he's batted himself out of form generally by continuing playing T20 this year.
Re: NZ vs England - 1st ODI - Hamilton
KW out to a pretty dumb shot too
Re: NZ vs England - 1st ODI - Hamilton
Wow.. dumb cricket from Munroe and now kw
Re: NZ vs England - 1st ODI - Hamilton
Worst thing is it hasn't been exceptional bowling..mainly rubbish batting

Hey SAM - change the thread title to cover the whole series? It worked well for the last tour
Re: NZ vs England - 1st ODI - Hamilton
Munroe was the worst IMHOJB1981 wrote:And Guptill.brat wrote:Wow.. dumb cricket from Munroe and now kw
The guy is in the form if his life but seems to be throwing his wicket away
Kw has looked out of form for a while

No - still don't trust my back to sit there all day. However, next test match (i.e. proper cricket) I will get thereSecretAgentMan wrote:Done.Enzedder wrote:Hey SAM - change the thread title to cover the whole series? It worked well for the last tour

How can I change the thread title? Thought I just needed to edit it in the OP, but that doesn't seem to have worked...
Edit: Oh wait, the thread title on the index page has changed. Doesn't it change for the post headings?
