It's certainly working out nicely for the likes of the Mercers and the Kochs in their quest for oligarchy.

That's the same story the 3 guys at CNN got fired for around this time last year. Lead to the Trump slamming CNN meme. They were fired for process errors. Dragonkhan was disgusted iirc.

Goes to show how low the Clintons and Obama, even Romney, figures on the USA public's scale of opinion of basic decency. Establishment politicians... together with the Bushes, Cruz, McCain, Pelosi and other lowlife.

Compared to them The Don is a veritable saint ... pornstars and all.

So over the last seven days or so the 'non chaotic just energetic' POTUS has:

Announced tariffs which will probably spark a trade war with the EU, China and Canada. and then antogonised those countries/blocs via twitter
    Had his communications director resign
Found out that his Head of Middle East Peace (and every other portfolio) has been downgraded in his security clearance
been sued by a porn star
had his chief economic adviser resign
had a twitter spat with 'Alex' Bladwin
Held a very productive meeting with lawamakers on guns, where he said he would take away peoples guns where necessary cause he wasn't afraid of the NRA, and then back tracked after a meeting with the NRA
Had a former adviser have a nervous breakdown on TV over the Mueller investigation

and that was just in the last week, but there is no chaos in the Whitehouse - just great energy.

Don't forget his chum who dumped his steel stocks right before the tariff announcement, and Jared's Qatari loans malarkey.

In a few years time, looking back at all this not-chaos, it's going to see unbelievable that some of these huge stories with massive international ramifications can be so easily overlooked, just because of the sheer quantity of shit going down.

Hopefully.

You kind of have to admire his ability to divert everyone with a couple of tweets. But yes, it's mostly down to the sheer volume of boot-filling. Nobody can keep track.

He also got North and South Korea confused.

http://nymag.com/daily/intelligencer/2018/03/trump-confuses-north-and-south-korea.html

Easy mistake to make, I guess.

Quote:
The claim that Trump had spoken with North Korea confounded foreign policy observers. “It was not clear whether Trump was describing a direct conversation or messages sent through diplomatic channels,” reported the Washington Post.

The answer turns out to be: neither. Trump was describing a conversation with South Korea. An official from the National Security Council tells Yonhap News Agency, a South Korean publication, that Trump “was referring to his March 1 phone call with South Korean President Moon Jae-in.” So Trump was close, geographically, but instead of describing a breakthrough exchange with the totalitarian enemy that is developing nukes and threatening to kill us, he was describing the democratic ally that has no nukes and is trying not to be killed.

Trump was right that it was a Korea, but he had the wrong one. There are so many Koreas these days, it is hard to keep track.

FFS - to think 30 years ago Dan Quayle had his presidential hopes dashed by misspelling potato and 15 years ago Howard Dean was seen as too unstable because he got a bit excited at a campaign rally.

The prophecies of Mike Judge have come to fruition and the Idiocracy is upon us

Can't wait to see the attempts to explain this away as some deliberate master-trolling episode.

Seems an unlikely basis for successful action since she accepted the money and acted (initially) as if the contract was in force

I wonder if this is more likely an opportunity to remove her obligation to hand over the pics/dress so she can then publsih them and maximise the $ value of her moment in the sun.

Yeah, any analysis I've read suggests the 'he didn't sign' argument is a loser. It's almost certainly designed to try and get some detail out in public through the court case which would then be outside of the NDA. And to give her more publcity so that she could just try and ignore the NDA and make more money than she'd pay for breaching it.

An agreement was made, consideration provided and actions by the parties have followed demonstrating the agreement was in place

Not a Lawyer, but didn't Trumps lawyer say that he paid the money, & it was nothing to do with Trump.

So how does the fact that the contract was cast as being between, Trump & Pornstar, when the Lawyer has now gone on the record, as casting the contract as between Lawyer & Pornstar, effect the validity of the contract ?

It's all immaterial really; as Trump has always used lawsuits as a way of stifling comment; & used his deeper pockets to try & scare away challengers. When he & his lawyers actually faced competent appellants, they pissed their pants, & settled rather than face the prospect of sitting in court & having Donald have to Testify (See Trump University).

It's bizarre that this kind of headline is barely a ripple these days

Seems an unlikely basis for successful action since she accepted the money and acted (initially) as if the contract was in force

I wonder if this is more likely an opportunity to remove her obligation to hand over the pics/dress so she can then publsih them and maximise the $ value of her moment in the sun.

Good thread on it here

But who did she have the contract with? Trump signed nothing, so it's deniable enough for him. Seeing tweets that this is always how it was done in Hollywood. Wouldn't surprise me for him to deny it and hint that "maybe Cohen had done some bad stuff and was being blackmailed, I hear it happens". She can claim she never intended to sign a binding contract with Michael Cohen only Trump could prove that wrong.

I wonder is Gorkha, like Bannon; as the Mooch informed us, can suck his own dick ?

Because he surely must be able to, give that remarkable act of intellectual flexibility ?

She doesn’t have to do anything now, she’s basically confirmed it by engaging in this lawsuit. That’s all she needed to do.
